I was recommended by one of her classmates, my hair stylist. I was very concerned with being of darker complection but also didn’t want traditional Indian make up– so I hesitated to contact an East Asian boutique. Stephanie stepped up the plate. I had a few concerns about her drawing in my eyebrows, since my eyebrows are already so thick when we did our trail. But she made some adjustments during the trail and we talked through it for the day of. She was on time and very patient-​made sure I looked beautiful and was very quick and efficient! I would recommend Stephanie to anyone. Stephanie was very easy to talk to. I explained what I liked and didn’t liked. She made all the adjustments for me to acquire the look I wanted to achieve.

Eyebrows changed my life — I kid you not — and it was all thanks to Stephanie Brick.
First, let us go back a few months to when I first met her that balmy fall day. I had just arrived at Amanda Hill’s studio where we were doing a pin-​up shoot. I had been following the Memphis Bombshells on Facebook and really wanted to have some photos like that before I turned 30 (eeeek!!). I had seen Stephanie’s work before (both hair and makeup) via Amanda and I knew this chick was a genius so I bit the bullet. Plus, you know that feeling you get when you just *know* someone is cool? Well, not only is she cool but I *knew* Stephanie was a hair/​makeup genius the moment I walked in the door.
It was love at first sight and now I’ve had her do my hair and makeup for 3 shoots. She has done vintage to contemporary and I’ve loved it all. I would hire her to do my makeup and hair every day if I could afford it because it is no coincidence that my dates go way better when I see them after I see her… but this is still not how she changed my life.
She changed my life when I booked her for a makeup lesson. I asked her to teach me how to contour my face (aka make it look thinner — hello Kim Kardashian, thanks for introducing me to this concept) and not only did she do that (in the privacy and convenience of my own home I might add)…but she told me about filling in my eyebrows. And THAT is when my life was transformed. I know you think I’m being silly or dramatic or exaggerating… but I’m not. Not even a little. Everywhere I go now I get compliments on my eyebrows and there is a direct correlation between people telling me I’m pretty and me filling in my eyebrows. If these puppies aren’t filled in, I am one plain Jane walking through this world. In comparison, my current boyfriend goes absolutely gaga when my eyebrows are done (and he doesn’t even know that is what is making him swoon… he just knows my makeup is different and that he likes it.) My best friend’s fiancée saw me on New Years and hadn’t seen me since this little transformation and literally asked her to start doing her eyebrows like mine. Who knew eyebrows could make someone feel so sexy?!
Anyways, not only Stephanie Brick rock my world with the eyebrow revelation, but she also taught me how to correctly do my eye makeup. I’ve been walking around this world for 28 years with way too thick eyeliner looking like Cleopatra gone wrong… and now (I don’t mean to brag but…) I can finally do a proper wingtip!
Stephanie was a blessing in my life and I know that sounds ridiculous to some but proper makeup makes a huge difference… especially when you’re getting older and trying to hide the flaws and highlight the good. Her rates are completely reasonable and I implore you to give her a try — it can be life changing!
