On the 12th of May I had a tire on my truck blow out so I took it to Firestone that was the nearest place, they put a new tire on, and gave me a courtesy checkup they told me I needed my transmission oil changed as it was dirty and low, they offered to do it for me but I declined, and told them I have my mechanic, so on the 13th I took my truck to Smitty’s telling them what Firestone at told me, I also asked them to check the AC as it was low. There was nothing else wrong with this truck at that time, they did a belt change, oil filter, and oil, brake fluid, oil dye, and two cans of anti-freeze total cost $ 369.52. The very next day my truck was overheating, but could not take it back to Smitty’s as they were closed on Saturdays, so took it to Sears auto shop to see what they could do for me I was told I needed a radiator flush but they did not perform this service there, so I found a Jiffy Lube to take it to they gave me several flushes, but on the way home my truck was running hot again, called them back and they told me I would need a mechanic to look at it. So on Monday the 16th I took it back Smitty’s complaining it was overheating and that I did not have this problem before they got it they told me I needed a thermostat, a gasket seal and some more anti-freeze and something about a freeze play bock total bill $ 334.86 well the next day I called Smitty’s back complaining to them my truck was still running hot so on the 18th of took it back, this time it was a fan clutch and this Bill was another $ 136.80, and yes you guessed it still running HOT!!! This time they tell me I need a new radiator which was going to be another $ 300 or more, I told them I felt like they were ripping me off and that I was not going to allow them to do anymore on my truck I will take it somewhere else, and I did this, and yes my problem was fixed one time and I have not had a problem with it since.
