History
Established in 2008.
Edgar Mendez a professional salsa dancer and instructor, born in Guatemala and lived in Los Angeles for 20 years, move to Memphis in 2005 and with the help of Alex Labrador develop a vibrant and all ways growing salsa community, they both started salsa nights every Saturday in different venues but never satisfy with the way they where treated by most owners of different establishments. Edgar Mendez convince Alex Labrador to open they’re own place. they both reach out to a group of supporters and fans of the salsa scene for a loan, but unfortunately it was not enough and thats how one of the supporters Jim Davila born in Puerto Rico. jump to the opportunity to share not only his music and dance but also food and drinks.
Alex retire from the business in 2010 but still faithful fan and you will see hem on the dance floor almost every chance he gets.
Jim Davilla also part ways with the ownership part of it but still involve in the management.
