History
Established in 2003.
Dr. Bret Sokoloff has known little else since childhood except orthopedics.
«I was born into it,» Sokoloff said. «My father was an orthopedic surgeon in California where I was raised, and from two years of age, I pretended I was just like my Dad.»
Sokoloff’s schedule involves juggling time between multiple hospitals, teaching, working with area orthopedic companies like Wright Medical on development, and community involvement. He currently serves on the Arthroscopic Association of North America communications committee and is active with the Memphis Jewish Community Center.
While in California, Sokoloff served as the PGA Tour physician for both the 2004 and 2005 seasons. «My role was to help get players through the tournament and help prevent injuries,» he said. «Many of them have chronic or acute problems with knees, backs, or shoulders. I even walked the course with some of them.»
