I’m sitting in the bleachers with my laptop doing«homework»(actually Unilocalwork), slapping away mosquitos while watching my beau play soccer and sitting next to his dad who is cheering and yelling. Talk about a flashback to high school! Nostalgia aside, this is a pretty great place. Sure, they need shade(none to be found), backs to the bleachers(my back hurt, yo!), fans(hoooooooooooooot) and more/closer bathrooms(…I may have gotten lost…), but then again, I’ve never been an outdoor girl so I need these amenities to be comfortable that I suppose normal people wouldn’t be too put out about. There are multiple fields with multiple games and I think it’s great that my 39 year old boo can still have a nice place to play competitive soccer now that he’s out of college… a few decades(hehe, sorry if you’re reading this!). Everything is well-maintained and quite pretty. I love seeing so many people leading active lifestyles. Definitely a great addition to Memphis!

We are lucky to have such a great soccer complex in Memphis. It’s a privately managed, Shelby County goverment owned facility. The location is convenient on over 100 acres off Bill Morris Parkway. There are 16 lighted playing fields and a over 2,500 plus seated arena. Even if you don’t love the game you will appreciate the complex. It draws teams from all over to compete in numerous tournaments each year and national teams play in the arena. My family and I attended a Brazilian club team game here last week and the Uof M soccer team plays here as their home field. Local teams play league games throughout the season. It’s a wonderful resource for area youth in a well maintained, safe environment. I love it because it gives youth a wonderful facility and brings revenue to the city by attracting tournaments. It’s known as one of the best soccer complexes in the South East right here in Memphis.
