Best rice I have ever tasted!!! My husband and I used to buy Chinese food constantly until we found KC’s. Their rice is meaty and the broccoli really sets it off.

I have to admit, driving down to this joint, I began to have misgivings. Lots of shells of buildings and vacant businesses. The flea market is really just an empty place as well. However, there was the red trailer that was mentioned in an online posting that I saw. So I took a chance and pulled in. KC was under the tarp tent nearby and I went to the window to order my fried rice. The small is still not small. It’s smokey and delicious and packed with meat and veggies. The chinese joints could learn something here. I also had a caramel cake, which was just above average, to be honest. But also spend some time talking to KC. Super nice, hard working man that puts his life and soul into the business. Only open Wed-Sat, but the food is solid although you’d better be ready to eat in the heat or cold or in your car.

Housed in a converted trailer parked in a flea market, KC’s serves up fantastic«Southern» rice, Polish sausage, fried catfish and rib tips, all smoked and delicious. «Southern» rice is much like Chinese fried rice — but it’s smoked. That’s right: Smoked. This is a take out only place. Our party of 4 ordered the large rice combo, loaded with rib tips, broccoli, onions, ham — basically, a «kitchen sink» of fried, smoked rice. It was wonderful. You can have the rice with any combination of meats and vegetables. This dish alone was enough to feed 3 as an entrée. One of our party had the fried catfish and coleslaw dinner. He declared it the best he’d ever eaten. My husband had the Polish sausage, smoked and smothered in a sweet-ish sauce. This is food I don’t think you’d find anywhere else and you’ve got to give it a try.

Best Fried Rice in Memphis. They give you lots of meat and/or vegetables and it always taste fresh off the grill. The only drawback is that they’re only open Wed-Sat
