I wished I read the reviews before I ate here. I decided to stop by since I dropped clothes off at the cleaners next door. When I entered the guy(I assume he was training since he just stood there the entire time) or the lady(I also aimed she was the owner — per the comments and she was giving orders) didn’t speak or acknowledged me. I started to wonder if I was really there. I ordered the brown bag since it was a sandwich, drink and chips. The turkey sandwich tasted like something i could made at home. The chips and drink were the best thing there. I don’t see myself eating here again. Service was awful and food was too!

Sports themed and a fun atmosphere. Sports Center is ON. The food is fantastic. Very clean. Best of all, the place is LOCAL. It is cool to see all the Jerseys on the walls. Go Grizzlies, Go Tigers!

Stopped in this place for lunch on 5÷4÷15. I had the Spicy Philly Sub. The sandwich was really good but it was pretty skimpy on the meat. The person I ate with had the chicken philly and had the same complaint. For the amount you pay you should get more meat. Other than that the sandwich was really good. If they added more meat I would easily bump my review to a 4 or 5.

I love the Philly Cheese Steak here. I have not tried the other sandwiches as I am hooked on the philly. They have decent desert as well and it is way better than Subway anyday. The staff is always nice and its a great sandwich.

Update– new ownership and wow what a difference! I’ll be back for sure. This place is never open. I had to go for lunch in a Saturday to even try it. The worker was no where in sight, so I waited. She was actually finishing a quart of ice cream I learned. Food was average and over priced. Sad because I would come here a lot more. Update– new owners who seem like they are MUCH better than previous ones. Worth a try.

Hmmm this place used to be Jersey Mike’s, right? Where did Mike go? Did much really change? Their tea is in small plastic pitchers… and they aren’t as efficient with the register. But hey their food is still pretty good. It is a quick sandwich. Better than Lenny’s

Good subs, not the place I would recommend getting the Philly though. People inside where very nice and gave us a great deal. The jersey club was very good.

I don’t know why anyone would ever give this place a bad review! It’s an absolutely amazing spot! I didn’t go there expecting to have the best buffalo chicken sandwich, but i’m not complaining! Since then I have tried out all their different sandwiches and each has been better than the next. As far as the service, it’s even better than the sandwiches. The woman behind the counter is always extremely friendly and welcoming. It’s not some random person who looks like they would rather be anywhere else but instead a kind woman who actually wants to give you a great meal! The prices are also fantastic! Don’t ever bother going to any other sub shop! There is NOWAY you can get a better deal.

Meh. Not horrible but not very good either. I went in hoping it would be as good as Jersey Mike’s but it’s not. The teenagers working the counter were dutifully sullen. The tuna sub was boring(and the bread was verging on stale). Basically, it was food. If I worked nearby, I’d give them another shot. But I definitely won’t go out of my way for it.

This place is one of the best delis I’ve ever tried. It’s similar to Jersey Mike’s, but their quality has improved greatly since the new owners took over a few years back. The roast beef is seasoned and cooked at the deli and is by far the best in Memphis. I make sure to stop by the place a few times a week(they have great coupons on their menus and offer new deals each week as well) and try whatever new sandwich they have to offer. I especially love the spicy chicken philly, club supreme, and italian sandwiches. I’m not sure what the other reviewer’s problem is here. The owner is always funny and upbeat, trying to make the customers smile. In fact, if she ever bothered talking to anyone who works at the deli, she would know that the owner is Persian and not Greek(very different cultures, mind you). You can’t even get a meal for under $ 6 at McDonald’s anymore, so I can’t believe 50 cents was such a make it or break it deal for her. Anyway, the service I’ve had there has always been fantastic and fast. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area; I definitely plan on going back.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Jersey Subs & Deli. It use to be Jersey Mike’s. Love the place. However, the new name, new attitude definitely doesn’t live up to the previous incarnation. I ate lunch today and had the brown bag special. For those who aren’t in the know, this includes a 6″ sandwich, bag of chips and a CANNED drink(not a fountain drink — remember that). The price? Well that AND the owner’s attitude is what is at question. When I checked my receipt I noticed I was charged $ 6.50 + taxes(actually I was there with my partner, so it was $ 6.50×2+taxes). However, the sign on the napkin containing on each table said $ 6. So I brought it to the attention of the manager who promptly said«Price has changed,» and pointed to a printed brochure menu. I said that was fine, but her advertisements on each table said $ 6. She then went ballistic on me, yelling that it was only 50 cents and then went around the lobby grabbing the napkin containers off the table. I told her that I would let everyone on Unilocal know about her attitude and customer service. She said«Go ahead» in a thick Greek accent and stormed off. By the way, the sandwich was ok. As a matter of fact, my partner had just comments moments before the manager’s outburst that the turkey reuben was great and that we should take advantage of the $ 11.99 special after 4 p.m. I will admit that the condiment choices were the skimpiest I’ve ever seen at a deli(compared to Lenny’s or Subways), so pick sparingly. However, I won’t have to worry about the menu choices any longer as I won’t be back. The manager totally lost a customer. The way she handled it was unprofessional, unapologetic and undeserving of my business. Yes it was only 50 cents(or $ 1 in my case), but the way she handled the situation has lost her a customer. So enjoy your extra $ 1 as it will be the last one you get from me. Obviously, you need it worse than I do.
