Holiday Inn Memphis Airport – Conf Ctr

Really outdated for the price. I took a cold shower and the front desk girls were more interested in talking about where they had their «nails did» then to correct the issue. I was only letting them know so the next person didn’t have to take a cold shower on a chilly morning. It was really noisy come 3:00am with people slamming doors and hanging out in the main lobby. I arrived around 12:00am and it was pretty scary out in the parking lot. I did see a security guard that was smoking out front but he didn’t seem very concerned about my safety. I also had to roll up a towel as there was a really big gap under the main door to my room. Anyone could have looked under it. I will say I did get a free breakfast coupon from a lady behind the counter that saw that my complaints went unnoticed. It was very convenient from the airport. The bed was really pretty comfortable once you get past all the late night debauchery.

Loud slamming doors throughout day and night, low water pressure, barely any hot water, several members of our large group became sick from eating at their restaurant. Started to get a sinus infection/​allergy reaction from their AC system.
House keeping made it seem like it was a privilege to have our room cleaned and made minimal effort at the process. They were probably the source of most of the doors slamming.
Without going into details, our group had to stay there. If it were my choice, I’d never go back again.

I have stayed in Holiday Inn hotels all over the US and other countries, they are one of my favorites. However, after staying at this location for SEVERAL days, not sure I want to stay with Holiday Inn again. Convenient to the airport, YES but services and cleanliness… Not so much! Not to mention the NOISE and no I’m not talking about planes, I’m talking about the slamming of doors constantly, the «questionable «people coming in and out of the lower floors, the LOUD music of «somebody «dropping off or picking up «people»… I am not usually afraid at a hotel but this one, sure do wish I had some protection.

This is by far the worst Holiday Inn do not expect to be able to load a webpage because the wifi is so slow and if you’re hungry I would think about eating somewhere else do not expect to get what you ordered or a correct meal. And make sure you lock up your personal items if you leave your room we had one of our coworkers have his wedding ring stolen out of his room also on two different occasions I noticed that they had gone through my bags while I was out. We stayed here for over three weeks for work. After enough complaints our company finally moved us out of there.

I chose this hotel because the pictures online looked promising. Boy was I wrong. Right when you arrive, there is a security guard with a badge who is waiving off many homeless people (this is a rough neighborhood). I walked in regardless because I had to fly out the next morning and this is close to the airport (it’s one virtue). The concierge and reception has three incompetent and lazy people. Two were chatting with maintenance people and feigning busy demeanors. The third was gossiping with a friend on her cell phone and rudely told me «I’m busy. Wait ten minutes.» When I finally got a key, the door was jammed and would not open. A maintenance man used his right shoulder to force it open with serious force. He then said «it is not budged» in slurred words as he stumbled. Given his glazed and blood shot eyes, I have to assume he was drunk or on something. Moreover, he was staring at my luggage, as if to steal it.
Given that I arrived around 9pm and was too tired after two flights to switch hotels, I decided to suck it up. I will never go back. Stay in downtown, the 15 minute über ride is worth your time and money.

Terrible! Will NOT be going back! Service is nearly non-​existent. Stayed for 2 days. Asked for clean towels at the end of the first day, because the room came with 3 and we’re a 4 person family. Was told sure, no problem. Towels were never brought. Called again in the morning around 7:30, was told I have to wait for housekeeping to come in at 8:30. Ok. Towels still never brought. Walk down to the desk to ask about the pool and ask for towels. She said the pool was closed and she’d have towels brought to our room. No sign anywhere in the hotel about the pool being closed. And STILL NO TOWELS. «Recent remodel.» Our bathroom faucet was so loose, you had to hold it in place with one hand and turn it on with the other. Otherwise it just moved the whole thing. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, so if you took a hot shower, it steamed up the whole room. The door didn’t line up, so if you wanted to lock the dead bolt, you had to push it in with a shoulder while you turned it. On the plus side, it was relatively clean. We were on the first floor, so didn’t hear any planes from the airport. Lots of parking lot cameras and security patrolling, so it didn’t feel terribly unsafe, even though it wasn’t the best neighborhood. And the staff was polite and tried to be helpful. Just didn’t seem terribly confident. Do yourself a favor, pick another hotel.

Attended a conference at this hotel. Recent renovations which were nice but the staff was awful. The conference rooms were hot & the air was not working; the manager took forever to try and assist and still did nothing when found. The maintenance guy was amazing and found fans for the grand ballroom to comfort us a little. The bedrooms were nice but some of the other conference rooms had ants crawling on the floor and a large container of trash was left at the end of the hallway for almost 2 days until the manager finally came to move it after all of our complaints. Lastly, it rained while there and the entry way and conf room #9 or 10 the ceiling dang near fell in (see pics).
Upon booking our conference at this hotel, we were promised none of these situations would happen and everything crashed once we arrived. I wouldn’t advise this hotel for any conference and only an overnight stay if stuck in Memphis for a day or 2. 2 stars goes to the maintenance guy and the upgrades to the guest rooms.

Old hotel. Tried a renovation but still feels old. My door won’t close when I leave unless I put the key in to unlock the door then shut. The faucet in my room only exhausts hot water.
It’s an odd hotel. Feels musty. Wouldn’t suggest.

This hotel was good enough if you’re unexpectedly stuck in Memphis. The hotel needs updates in general; it is old and outdated.
My the bathtub was so filthy that I didn’t even consider taking a shower. Even if I wanted to shower hot water was not an option. The water was ice cold! The room was either freezing cold or sweltering. The blinds in the room did not close so I was awake with the sun. The breakfast was less than appetizing so I kept my $ 11 and waited to find some food at the airport.
If it weren’t for the extremely nice staff, this place would be a zero. The people who work here absolutely save this place. They are helpful, attentive and friendly. The management better hang on to each and every one of them! Take the airport shuttle! The driver, Brian, will having you laughing the whole way!

Nice new hotel. Rooms are modern. Gym was awesome. It’s got a huge space in the basement with stationary bikes, spin bikes, treadmills, weight equip, and free weights. While the equipment was very new, some were not working properly but overall it’s a great space. Had a quick dinner at the restaurant/​bar. Had great veggie quesilldias and was served quickly. Rooms aren’t fully sound proof and being next to the airport is a bit loud, but if you’re here for convenience of being close to the airport, it’s fine. There’s an on demand shuttle to the airport 24 hours a day, which is super convenient. I’d totally stay here again if I were traveling for business.

Nice hotel, room was clean and comfy, staff very nice. Probably one of the prettier HI I have been to recently. The walls seem really thin, though, as this is the first HI I have stayed at where I woke up to my neighbor’s alarm, and left the TV on while working in the evening so that i wouldn’t hear the neighbor on the phone…

Hotel itself is nice but the food at the restaurant is ghastly and overpriced. The breakfast buffet is over 10 dollars and everything is over cooked. I also had dinner there I had the salmon it was grey and rubbery. Soda from the fountain is flat and 2.50. I wouldn’t stay here unless you have a car to drive to get some food.

Wow what a beautiful place. It was not looking so good a few years ago. But now this place looks amazing. The food is top notch. And in a hotel. Wow. Simply amazy.
