High Point Salon

First off, as a guy, I would rather go to a barbershop. That being said, I have tried just about every other barbershop in the area, and for whatever reason I couldn’t find a place where I could get both a decent haircut and decent atmosphere in the same place. So, I made an appointment with Jessica (at my wife’s recommendation) out of reluctant desperation.
However, having gone a few times now, I have found my experience to be consistent:
I get a good haircut
It matches what I asked for
It’s quick
The price is right
The atmosphere is pleasant — here, I have to admit I had some stereotypical imagery of what I thought a salon would look like. But, I found the people to be down-​to-​earth and the conversation to be pleasant.

I got the worst haircut and customer service of any salon/​barber I’ve ever went to.
I went in here and wanted to get my haircut. I explained to the male barber that I wanted a high fade. He seemed like he wasn’t sure about it entirely but I trusted him. After directing him as to what a high fade was multiple times I said I wanted the other, more competent woman to cut my hair.
He glowered at me and said in a confrontational tone: «if you wanted a free haircut, you should have just said so»
So I was offended and getting a bad haircut. The woman tried to salvage it, but there wasn’t much left to do and it cost an unrealistic $ 26.
Never going there

Jessica is the best! I went in with a hair emergency & walked out feeling like a million bucks. She gave me the cutest cut, really listened to what I wanted & gave me some styling tips as well. I’ve found my new hairdresser! Highly recommended. Thank you, Jessica!

The salon is tucked out of the way in the middle of a residential neighborhood along with a couple of other stores in the strip mall. It’s a small place with only 5 stylists, some of which seem to have been there forever. However, Heather and Jessica are up on the trendier side of things and provide excellent service. Prices are good and appointments are absolutely recommended.
