Habitat for Humanity Greater Memphis ReStore

This is the best thrift store in town, I can’t stay away, the prices are great and there is so much neat stuff and the staff is very friendly and helpful, I suggest you make the trip

This enormous ever changing thrift benefits the Habitat for Humanity. What I didn’t realize until I got here was that in addition to furniture and building materials they also have cheaper than Goodwill books and few clothes.
If you are looking for blinds, sinks, vanities, doors, fans, lights, drywall, paint, cleaning suppliesand a variety of other household goods it is definitely worth the drive out here.
Well organized and staffed which is a rarity in the thrift world.

i’m not a thift shopper. i don’t usually like sifting though stuff. i also don’t have a eye to see hidden beauty or potential in stuff. that said-​i do know a good price or a bargain when i see one. ReStore has more than a few potential bargains. i think the Restore is actually housed in an old bed bath and beyond and/​or old haverty’s furniture store. inside the ReStore are items salvaged from habitat from humanity house builds. you can get toilets, sinks, doors, drywall, blinds, etc. i saw paint, caulk, cleaning supplies. they have furniture, tables and chairs, china, old desks, filing cabinets, printers, sofas, luggage, etc. i even saw clothes and jewelry. to encourage people to buy, there are price tags on everything and the price goes down the longer an item has been there. i saw a sofa there for 49 bucks. some of the items like furniture may appear dated but if you had crafty skills, you could make it work. you could make a 40’s style settee look cool with some reupholstering. also, some items look like they need some tlc.
the setup is fairly organized in the ReStore. It doesn’t give me anxiety when i walk in compared to other thift places. if you are not a shopper, then you can always be a donor. you can donate your old stuff to Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Seriously, it is worth your time to take a look.
