Elmore Carpets is a retail flooring company located in Memphis, Tennessee. We specialize in Carpeting, Tile, Ceramic, Wood, Laminate and all types of flooring residential and commercial.

History

Established in 1972.

Elmore Carpets was started by Anthony «Amp» Elmore. Anthony started as a youth working for the company his father worked for. Elmore Sr. installed Carpet in the 1^st Holiday Inn in Memphis in 1952. Anthony worked with his father. Later Anthony organized his own flooring installation contract and in 1974 he landed a contract to be an Carpet Sub-​contractor for Sears.

Elmore later worked as a contractor Installer for many of the major carpet stores in Memphis, Tennessee. Elmore later went on to open his own retail store in Memphis, Tennessee.

Anthony «Amp» Elmore is best known in Memphis, Tennessee as the 5 Time World Karate/​Kickboxing Champion. Elmore opened Elmore Carpets in 1972. In 1982 Elmore won the PKA World HeavyWeight World Title. Elmore gain international recognition. In 1990 Elmore re-​entered the Carpets Business.
