Drapers Catering of Memphis

I was looking for a cake and champagne. We have a family tradition that my aunt makes all the food at all of our events. She is a licensed and insured caterer but, I have never seen her make a wedding cake and she is against alcohol. The guy on the phone said «so you only want cake and alcohol there? How white trash is that!» Im sure he thought that was a way to up sale someone but, all it did was anger me beyond repair. I have made it a personal goal to let every person I hear talking about a wedding know how awful they are. Good food or not degrading your customers is not ok!

I’m sure, based on other reviews, Drapers is a very good catering company. I just want to relate a bad experience with one of their employees. While entering The Kroc Center, we saw their truck parked in front. Being the joker that he is, my husband commented on the fancy script lettering on the truck looking a bit like it says «diapers». The Drapers employee heard this and corrected him by saying «Most people can read!»
We thought that was rude and offensive behavior for a representative of such a high profile company. Shame!

Drapers is the best — plain and simple. They recently did our daughters wedding and it was all perfect. I wanted a lot of food for 250 people and that is what we got. Beautiful food, delicious food. It was presented beautifully in stations, buffet, and served at a carving station. Their wedding package is a great place to start with all the things you need, and then tweek it with other things to make it your own. The servers and bartenders from Drapers were great, and worked hard to make our night spectacular. They took so much pressure off us getting everything organized and making us feel we didn’t have to worry about anything. They took care of everything at the reception and made sure it all went smoothly. Ryan Draper was so helpful through the whole planning process and Matt Draper oversaw everything the night of to make a great evening. We can’t say enough good things about Drapers — just really nice people who do a wonderful, professional job.

Drapers Catering of Memphis catered my son’s wedding this past Sunday 2÷16÷14. The food was amazing more than enough to for 400 people. All of our guests were very happy with the food. The staff was excellent very professional very polite. I would recommend Drapers catering for any event. They made my son’s wedding a memorable event for all my guests. Thank you

I ‘stumbled’ into a promotional event for Bridal events at Marriott
Courtyard and related properties in downtown Memphis and
what a surprise to discover how great this caterer is! The item
that sticks in my memory (and on my hips) is the decadent
4 (maybe 6?) layer cake that the youngest Draper prepared.
It had everything from chcolate mousse to caramel to cheesecake
and my hips still remember! I dont know if brides in the south
love rich –but in southern Califorinia this cake would be outlawed (
Aa are smoker, people with one pound extra, etcetc). HOWEVER,
Connor Draper who is all of l8 really did an amazing job-​and the
story of how his parents got into the business is really fascinating–
no time. But the did elope on the east coast many years ago
and came to Memphis in a totally different profession-​but
the Memphinians are lucky!
