I am glad I didn’t know about this place when I lived in Memphis, or I’d have a cholesterol level in the 300’s. Best gas station fried chicken in the MidSouth, hands down; not a category you’ll see on FoodTV any time soon, but it should be. Jo-Jo’s — a deep fried potato wedge, genius. If road food was an Olympic sport, the inventor of the Jo-​Jo would get a gold medal. Good eats, good prices for gas and food, friendly service — this place has it all.
