Went from a groupon and had high hopes from the store front was nice and inviting and the variety of flavors and options of cake flavors — icing and toppings had my mouth watering. The taste didn’t live up to any of my hopes. The cake was dense and dry and the frosting grainy and just. Not. Good. I hate giving poor reviews but these cupcakes are just bad. I selected several different flavors and they were all way over cooked. And the frosting was old tasting. Again very nice store front and from their website it appears they make fine cakes. I would give one star but can’t do it to local shop.

I must admit that I love my sweets. Literally. I have spent many a night telling a brownie all my secrets and wishing that human/baked goods unions were formally and legally recognized. With that being said, I have visited the Cupcake Cutie 3 times before writing my review. Each time I hoped that my next bite would miraculously change my mind and make all of the mediocre to ick — level cupcakes I previously tasted, disappear. I am still waiting for that bite. These cupcakes are old. They taste old every time. And there is nothing I enjoy less than archaic sweets. I would not recommend these cupcakes to anyone. However, the service is friendly. The décor is not to my taste. But I won’t hold that against them. Simply because… the décor is not to MY taste. And I tend to be a little biased in that area. To summarize, I’ve tasted better cupcakes at home. Made from a boxed mix by my 8 year old. Look elsewhere for amazing cupcakes. No matter how many Groupons are circulating at the moment.

This is my favorite cupcake bar. They have the best icing in the world and affordable prices. If you come during happy hour(which I believe is from 1400 – 1600), they have ½ price cupcakes. Even if you miss happy hour, they offer half price day old cupcakes which are extremely delicious despite being a day old.

No stars for me. I initially went based on pictures of cakes that have seen the owner create. I tried a cupcake and was not really impressed. Tasted like box cake mix and they were over baked and dry. The decoration bar is a hassle and not worth the hype. I decided to continue to give them occasional business because I like to shop local BUT when I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday they lost any hope of retaining my business. I ordered online, first mistake. Ordering was clumsy and incomplete. I received a nondescript email telling me they could fill my order but not much else. I called the day before the party to check in secure payment and confirm delivery because none of this was mentioned in the confirmation email, and there was no record of the cake I ordered! They made no attempt to rectify the situation or appease me in any way. I was basically told well its wedding season and we’re all booked up, sorry. Save your time, money, sanity, and taste buds. Cupcake Cutie was and is a complete bust. They will never see a dime of my money and I discourage everyone I know and don’t know from patronizing them.

I finally went by Cupcake Cutie this morning to redeem a groupon I’ve had for a while and it was beyond worth the money I spent on it. Even without the groupon, Cupcake Cutie is pretty decent value considering what some places will charge you for a cupcake. Cupcake Cutie is basically a «make your own cupcake» bar. You pick your cupcake and your frosting and then choose toppings. You can even choose a filling for another 25 cents. What I really loved about my experience here was that the service was impeccably polite and very helpful. I also have to say, these cupcakes beat Muddy’s by a long shot. The flavors might not be as creative but the taste is so much like the home-made cupcakes I ate as a child that I can’t help but find them preferable. The location is a little bit odd and out of the way, and the business could use a little bit of a face lift, but you can’t beat the cupcakes or the service, and that’s plenty to bring me back.

Well just had my first experience at cupcake cutie. I was trying to do something nice and take my husband and his co workers cupcakes and they were not good at all. I walked in and the atmosphere was very unfriendly like I was aggravating them. I had no idea it was a «build your own cupcake» kind of place. I’m very used to Gigi’s so I guess I was just expecting higher standards. I wanted pretty much a variety pack and those aren’t available so I continued«building» my cupcakes. All of the icings were in bags laying on the counter so they were at room temperature. To me cream cheese should stay cold? I asked for a whipped icing on one of them and he literally pulled whip cream out of the fridge and squeezed it on there! There were toppings like TCBY pretzels, rice crispies, fruit loops? I wasn’t impressed. Also the place was not very clean at all. The back wall read«Cupcake Cuti» bc the E had fallen off of the wall. So then he hands me my cupcakes which I’m expecting to be in a box since I got 7 and he puts them in grocery bags and ties them in knots where I have to carry out 3 bags and make sure they don’t tump over! Lord… So then I try to give them a try hoping maybe they taste good. Not at all it tasted like box cake mix I could have made at home and the cream cheese wouldn’t even stay on the cupcake bc it was so warm it was runny. Not a good experience at all. I will definitely be returning to Gigi’s from now on, once again you get what you pay for!

I am going to disagree with the other reviews. The cupcakes I have had here are small, expensive for the size and have a boxed cake type taste. There isn’t anything but I have definitely had better. There isn’t anything great to spend your money on.

These cupcakes clearly come from a box and I suspect that most of the positive reviews are plants or people who don’t know good cupcakes. Don’t waste your money here. Yes, I’m a baking snob, that’s why you should trust me!

Love the cupcakes. The strawberry is my favorite. Took my daughter and her friends as part of her b-day celebration, everyone got to have their cupcake made their way. It was fun watching all the different combination they came up with. you haven’t been you should give them a try.
