History

Established in 1990.

We limit our practice to bankruptcy, wage earner and alterntives to bankruptcy.

I received my Juris Doctor degree in 1975 and my BBA undergraduate degree in 1972 from the University of Memphis. I have taught at legal seminars on such topics as mortgage issues, discharge of domestic obligations and bankruptcy crimes.

Joining our practice this year is the third generation of lawyer in our family, Philip F. Counce, Jr., He received his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark School of Law and his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts English degree and a double major in Psychology. He contributed to the Bloomberg Treatise on Bankruptcy authored by law progessor Samir Parikah.

Some of the professional associations that I am a member include the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, Missouri Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Memphis Bar Association. Former board member of the Bankruptcy section of the Memphis Bar Assocation.
