I have had problems with Ashely furniture Home Store on Germantown Pkwy. Still, against my own instincts, I went in here because they were having a liquidation sale. Lost their lease and had to move (they switched places with Royal furniture in the same plaza) so all sales were final.
I needed a kitchen table and really liked this pub set but not the price. Of course the sales staff really want the sale and bug you frequently. Long story short, two women were kissing my bum over this sale. One got the sale because she went and asked the manager about a «fair price» for the table. For the rest of my transaction, I was mean-​mugged by the lady who did not get my sale. I even apologized to her.
The table on display was nice, sturdy, mostly free of defects. The one they gave me to bring home was supplied with chair legs of different length that didn’t attach properly so it’s like eating dinner while siting on a see-​saw and the «marble finish» tabletop is a giant sticker with bubbles from being improperly slapped on. If I ever needed to sell this thing, I would be lucky to get $ 20 out of it even though I paid $ 400. Never again will I step foot in an Ashley furniture.
