All Points Alert is the private sector version of an all-​points bulletin. An all-​points bulletin (APB) is a broadcast issued from one American law enforcement agency to another. It typically contains information about a wanted suspect, who is to be arrested, or a person of interest, for whom law enforcement officers are to look. Government agencies can pass on information faster and quicker then in the private sector, because in the private sector there isn’t one place to get the information. Now there is, with All Points Alert, our members can post and receive real time information on suspicious and criminal activity in the area. Members get access to local crime reports and maps, most wanted and registered sex offenders in the area.

History

Established in 2014.

The concept of All Points Alert came to the owners who were security officers. A incident at the location they worked prompted the supervisor to call another location to pass on the information. It was at that time when it was realized that security professionals need a place to send and receive instant alerts on criminal/​suspicious activity
