Specialties

Since 1958, we’ve created beautiful gift and fresh fruit baskets. We can deliver same day ordered if basket goes to Memphis metro area and is ordered by 9 AM. We specialize in gourmet food baskets, wine and cheese baskets, fresh fruit baskets, and gourmet fruit and snack baskets.

Our large baskets are perfect for Father’s Day, birthday gifts, wedding anniversaries, work anniversaries, retirement gifts, graduations, housewarming gifts, thank you gifts, new baby gifts and much more! Our customers love the passion that goes into making every basket because we love what we do, and want to make sure you call us again and again.

History

Established in 1948.

My father began this business in the mid 40’s in downtown Memphis. Alex’s Fruit Stand was just a small, family-run produce shop that supplied the needs of so many. It was built on the reputation of our creative fruit and gourmet baskets that we strive to continue to maintain — especially that passion that goes into each fruit, gourmet foods or gift and fruit arrangement.

Alex Albonetti’s motto «Never give a customer a reason not to come back» is forever embedded in me and will be my goal to carry on this family tradition.

Fruit baskets were incorporated into the business in the late 50’s. Dad had a unique way of preparing his baskets — perfection and pride was his ultimate goal. I feel he achieved this goal with every basket purchased.

At age 24, I took over the responsibilities of the business. I soon discovered the effort, the time, and most importantly, the dedication it took to run a business — though a tiny operation at today’s standards. My wife & I LOVE the business!
