Overdue review– I was here in February for lunch and got the black bean noodle with the sweet and spicy chicken. Food came out quickly and the owner was pleasant. Definitely a bang for your buck with huge portions. I will be back to try their jjamgbbong.

At Korean Noodle House, a small, almost fast food like restaurant, one of the signature dishes here is the ja jung myun, a black bean noodle dish which is also one of my favorite Asian noodle dishes ever. Unfortunately, this version was lacking the pungent beany kick that I love about the dish. It was disappointingly bland. Sad face. The other signature dish fared better. More of a guilty pleasure, due to the deep frying, the sweet and sour chicken nuggets stayed fairly crispy and the sauce managed not to tip over the line of too much sweetness.

Eat like they do in Korean dramas! The auntie is so nice there. Was a great and quiet experience on a Sunday afternoon. Great prices and amazingly tasty food!

Since I am from Korea, I really miss Korean Chinese food. And, I was so happy I finally found this place around Philly. I know I should not expect too much about this place, but I was disappointed at sweet sour pork n black noodle(this is main dishes among Korean Chinese food). The taste was not authentic and too oily. Hm. But, Jam bong n Soondae were pretty great. I think they have too many menu that are not even Korean Chinese foods such as rice cake or fried chicken. I hope they focus on more main menu. Overall, I am still happy I can taste Korean Chinese food in this area. I will go back this place when I want Jam bong.

The drive is a bit long since I live in central/south jersey. It is worth it. Awesome K food. Quality and quantity at a very respectable price.

First time here and we got the combination specials. Husband had the seafood soup with the sweet & sour chicken and I got the noodles w/bean paste and sweet & sour chicken. Servings were huge and very affordable. Hot tea also comes with each meal. The atmosphere was great, such a cute little place. Such sweet owners too! Definitely will be back! Seafood soup was the best!

I’ve been hearing so many great things about this place and I must say I am absolutely thrilled that I finally decided to try it out! I order the number 65 which is the combo special of noodles and black bean sauce and sweet and sour chicken! The food was amazing! Best sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had! The woman was very nice and attentive!

I regret not stopping here sooner, what a fantastic place to eat!!! The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. The owners are incredibly friendly too. It’s like mom preparing dinner for you. We both had champong which was incredible!!! By far the best we have ever had. The champong comes with your choice sweet sour pork or chicken, so we ordered one of each. Both were fresh and just cooked for us. There’s nothing about this restaurant tgat I would change!!! Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Middle age waitress told me a serving portion is too small after I placed an orders for lunch special includes kkan poong ki, jjan bbong, ja jang myun. Then I had to order extra jajangmyun because of her inconsiderate comments. It was rude to say to me like that. What I order is it is. I think she indirectly telling customers order more foods and make me pay and spend more monies which I had intention spend additional monies. She is worked customer for own good. I wouldn’t serve the food by her again!!!

First time there and definitely going back! Great little restaurant owned and worked by an older Korean couple. Service is quick and friendly(we were in and and out in less than 45 minutes). They have a great deal where you can get jajang mymung(noodles with black sauce) or seafood soup noodles with sweet and sour pork or chicken. One noodle option and one stir fry entrée for $ 13-$ 14. How can you beat that? Serving sizes are large too! They have awesome fried dumplings(7 pcs/order) and they’re not the small ones you get frozen at the Asian supermarket.

These dumplings were bomb. I really enjoyed the Jam Bong. I also had a taste of the Ja Jang Myun which was fire. The prices are also very cheap for how big of the portions they give you. I will for sure be back. The only potential bad part is that parking is hard to find and limited near there. You can for sure go past this hole in the wall if you don’t look carefully. Do yourself a favor and come out here: D

Korean Chinese food… so good. No elegance, just good home cooking. The owner is friendly, service fast, food portions large. I was the only white guy in the place, which is always a good sign. Go, eat, enjoy. Had the sea food noodles, bean noodles and spicy chicken. Each showed the cook had excellent technical skills for the food. It’s not refined, but it is delicious.

Great food and service. Owned by old couple very friendly. English is little weak but if you know what you are ordering no need to worry. If you like muscles, order champong noodles with muscles. It is covered and definitely not skimpy on the portion.

Love this mom and pop place! If you are want the best jam bong, look no further. The kampong gi also is exceptional. I need to try something else, and would one day like to know the difference between the 5 or so jam bongs listed on the menu. Soup is $ 7.99, or $ 14.99 w/kampong gi. It’s a lot of food! The owner is the chef; his wife the server. The noodles are homemade and delicious. For banchan; The sweet onion is nice as is the Kkakdugi(radish kimchi, good balance of sweet & spicy). Can do w/o the yellow daikon, the only misstep here. Also get a side of thick black bean sauce, used on their Jjajangmyeon. You can’t go wrong w/the jambong soup, spicy and amazing every time. The broth is phenomenal. I am always greeted w/a smile, and his wife seemed genuinely pleased when i said thank you in Korean; answering back w/a big smile and an ann yeong heegyeseyo!

I love this place, I lived in south korea for almost two years and this place makes me miss it so much because I feel like I’m there every time I eat here its a cute and small place, and the owners have the best noodles ever so fresh and delicious, the lady is so korean and traditional that might look like she is always mad but that not true she is the cutest little thing. If I could come here every day I would.

Wow Unilocal, again, nailed it!!! I was looking for something different to have for lunch around work and a quick search reminded me I had bookmarked this place a when ago. The place is a very comfortable little hole in the wall. We started out with the fried pork dumplings. They were cooked to perfection and filled with the right amount of meat and veggies. They also brought out one pickled radish, Korean pear and Kim chee to eat with our meals. I chose the stir fried noodles with pork and black bean sauce. The little Korean lady that was serving us even made sure to ask me the level of spice I wanted! The noodles were sublime!!! The perfect texture of a bit chewy and soft enough to soak up the black bean sauce. The sauce was very complex and speckled with are chunks of crispy pork and onions. My buddy had the seafood noodle soup which he thoroughly enjoyed. The server also brought me out a small bowl of the spicy kim chee soup that was just killer! All total our lunch bill was $ 13 each! Great place and absolutely cannot wait to go back!

Best jjampong in the world. I never liked jjampong until I ate here! The fried Mandoo is serious business too. This place HAS to be better than I’ve ever had in Los Angeles, unless my taste buds changed. I’ve been the 2 times now and so far the flavors are consistent. I might go there for my wedding anniversary. I hope they are just as good if not better!

This is my go-to spot for authentic Korean noodles. I always get the combination special(#65) with Ja Jung Myum(noodles with pork in black bean sauce) + Kam Pong Gi(sweet&sour chicken)!! It’s $ 13.99! Huge portion can be shared with someone.
