History

Established in 2012.

We started Fresh & Local produce because we noticed that there were no consistent ways to get our hands on good produce. Having a childhood farming and logging background we of course love and support farmers markets but the times and days of weeks they opened often did not work with our busy schedules. While house shopping in Melissa we found this great place off Hwy 5. I had a friend in another city that sold roadside tomatoes and squash and this house also had a large building that came with it. Honestly we expected to sell a little here and there and perhaps make a couple dollars while providing ourselves with good food. Right away people came and returned for more. As customers asked for more selection we added it and Fresh & Local became a staple of the community. Now in our 5^th year Fresh & have had to move out of the house to make way for one of our Vendors LIHOUDIES Greek Bakery & Deli has joined efforts to deliver high quality food to those who seek.
