This by far is my worst chinese buffet experience. The food is mediocre at best and the staff were not friendly at all. Its like the are being forced to work here and it shows. So sad because I was hoping for another god buffet but my wish wqs not granted. Oh well…

Haven’t been here in a couple of years and now I remember why I didn’t come back. Super bland food, bad decorations and if the food is hot on the tables, take your own guess how long it has been sitting there! Bad choice. Just drive a little further to New Haven

Food was lukewarm and somewhat tasty, but will not be going back. Saw unattended children picking through dishes and desserts with their forks. That was as much the fault of their parents, but when we brought it to the attention of the staff, they blew us off. We told them they should post signs saying that children should be accompanied by adults. However when we checked back a few days later no signs.

Well… I knew it would come to this. Their food has finally reached a level of suckitude I did not think was possible. Skip it and order take-out from Hop-Bo down the road or something. I have been there a couple of times this year and it’s just not very good anymore. The food has been cold and weird tasting and the service was poor. Too bad.

I don’t know who decided to name the place. Sounds like a joke from«Wayne’s World.» A typical Chinese buffet. Had just about everything on the menu and nothing really impressed me. However, the dishes I went back for seconds were the pork dishes. Overall, most of the entrees were lukewarm in temperature and that was disappointing. The only saving grace was the Mongolian BBQ. Surprisingly, the ingredients actually looked pretty fresh compared to most Chinese buffet places I’ve been to. The number of ingredients was small, but I’ll take freshness any day of the week. A decent Chinese buffet. The Mongolian BBQ is a huge advantage, so compared to the others, this would not be a bad pick.

If I could give this place no stars I would. My wife and I loved it when it was Peking Super Buffett. We hadn’t been back since the change and we decided to check it out tonight. High prices, blah food, hovering staff, and they ripped out the MONGOLIANGRILL! UGH! We won’t be back.

Recently, the Yong Wang Buffet opened in what used to be the Peking Super Buffet in the Post Commons Plaza in north Melbourne. It’s easiest to just say that if you’ve eaten one Chinese buffet, you’ve eaten at them all. The food is the same, the fact that the hot bars are not actually hot is the same, the lack of flavor is the same. Yong Wang is just another result of the Chinese Restaurant Industry’s cookie cutter process. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that it’s blah. I will note that that the beef with scallions is the sole exception here. It was excellent. And the service was pretty good. But neither is enough to get me to come back or recommend it to anyone else.
