I have been a patient of Dr. Scott Hardoon for 2+ years. I have been misdiagnosed, which could have led to a different shoulder surgery — good thing I got a second opinion from a doctor in Orlando, I have not been able to see him when needed and was passed off to his nurse practitioners — one who is male and overly friendly to attractive women (and it makes them uncomfortable) and a female who doesn’t listen and just likes to talk «at» you.
The last straw for me was being 5 minutes late to an appointment and being told he couldn’t see me because he was «going to lunch» and wouldn’t have time. As other reviewers have attested, I have waited 20 — 45 minutes to see him in the past and being 5 minutes late — unless he only alots 5 minutes for appointments — should not have been an appointment breaker. When I questioned the front desk staff they were clearly uncomfortable. They said I could see the NP. No thanks, I had a test result I needed to speak with my doctor about — not some NP who only talks about what she thinks it is but doesn’t really know. I told the woman behind the desk that the NP would not be adequate.
When I told the woman behind the desk why I was so upset and how many times I had waited 30 minutes or longer before being called in to the office, she said she completely understood. I think she did. I asked if another doctor had an appointment available today and she said yes and would put me in right away. I would be seen in just a few minutes. (There are several doctors in this practice.)
I was called in, blood pressure taken, temperature taken, etc. and then led into the room. I was told I was going to be seeing the NP. I just about flipped. I said that was unacceptable, that I thought I was actually going to be seeing Dr. Gary Hardoon. I was told he already went to lunch! I went to the front desk and the woman behind the desk apologized saying when she put me in the schedule, she didn’t realize Dr. Gary Hardoon went to lunch already. Seemed odd to me — but fair enough.
I asked for a refund for my co-​pay and asked for medical release forms so I could get my medical records as well as my husbands. They gave them to me and when I got home to fill them out, they were not the right ones.
It IS very much like a cattle call. The new waiting area is like waiting in an airport. While it’s nice and bright — it also shows that they are expecting to be a mini-​hospital and the fact that no one knows who you are when you call or show up is not the type of doctor I want.
So if you are someone who only expects a 5-​minute appointment and don’t mind having the NP see you most of the time — then this is the place for you. But be careful — if you are a few minutes late… they may all be at lunch.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This place is professional & well organized. If you have an appointment and they don’t see you within 30 minutes of that time, you get a $ 25 gift card. I’ve been going here for over 8 years and have yet to earn one.

Since moving to their new location. I have been here a few times and I will not be back. The wait times are ridiculous. If I made my clients wait as long as they do here I would be out of business. Also they rush you in and out as fast as possible. Its hard to get questions answered or even details regarding medication. When I needed help with a prescription they just transfer you to voicemail. No help at all. Patient care has been tossed out the window for profits Im afraid. Since I dont like feeling like a number especially with my healthcare I have found a new provider that I feel does a much better job at caring about my health.

Wow, I have been a patient here for couple of years, and increasingly felt like cattle. Wait 1 hr plus, with an appointment made days in advance, to see a doctor for 10minutes, in and out and on to next patient. Can’t get call back on basic lab tests. Called today to make appointment as not feeling well and was told 6 of 7 doctors are out for the Jewish holiday. I would have to wait until tomorrow, I think this is incredibly irresponsible for doctors. I have contacted another doctor who can see me today with no problem.

I have been seeing Doctor Hardoon Senior for 7 years. I would not tust any one else with my Healthcare. He is very knowledgeable as well as he actually listens to you.
I have seen other doctors in his practice including his son, but I am a little old fashioned I prefer to see the same doctor every time.
Doctor Hardoon is not only a very compassionate doctor but if he doesn’t know about something he will be the first one to say so and set up a referral to someone else that does. He also understands pain but WILL NOT over medicate you like some of the other doctors do in this town which means so much to me personally! !!!
I also love the fact that he values your time as well as his own. NO 2 HOUR WAIT AFTER YOU ARE THIER FOR YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT! !! I have had to change my insurance company because I will not be seen by any other doctor. If you are looking for a place to call home for all your medical needs this is the best doctor in town! !! I am still trying to learn more about all the new staff up front since the move but so far so good. I am a little bit biased and prefer the older ones because I have an established repitoire with them. but the new ones are learning and I have not had any problems with them!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE! !!!
