History

Established in 2006.

Studio Tile & Stone, a tile store in Melbourne Florida, is an evolution in progress. Initially, the focus was on nationwide sales of porcelain tile and mosaics. Local acquaintances sought resources for tile flooring, tiled baths & showers, kitchen backplashes. This prompted diversification into the local market. The original location on New York Ave was a tiny warehouse and office. In 2006, Studio Tile moved to a space with twice the warehousing. At first, all tile installations were referred to area tile contractors. Eventually, Studio Tile obtained it’s own Brevard County Tile Contractors License. This provided fullfillment of projects; design, sales, installation. In 2009, Studio Tile started a search in Suntree for a showroom and warehouse. August 2010, Studio Tile moved to its current location. The company continues to provide tile & mosaics to a nationwide network of distributors & mosaic artists. Meet the Business Owner

Lisa Anthony B.

Business Owner

Anthony moved to the US from Naples Italy at 15. Eighteen months later, he was in the US Navy, on a Med cruise back to Naples, in an American uniform. After serving, he worked as a floor covering contractor to pay for education. He mastered all flooring types, then focused on tile; a niche well suited to him. With tile installation experience, he moved into sales & marketing; retail, wholesale, nationwide & international at the manufacturing level. His primary function is management. Lisa grew up in rural Pennsylvania. College focussed her on a creative career path in graphic design & visual communication. Her tile career began as a showroom manager and designer for a tile distributor. International travel on tile business brought her up to speed on the world wide tile scene. As an art student, working in clay was extremely helpful to understand the manufacturing process of ceramic tile; along with the features and applications. Her primary role is design, marketing and sales.
