Store is still great and prices are usually very low. They now offer some very nice jewelry — sometimes via silent auction. Larger supply of pet related items than thrift shops with human-focused charities. Frequent ½ price sales in whatever section is getting too full. Their clothing is only separated by regular or plus size, then arranged by color(annoying). Very little clothing for men or children. A small children’s section with books, toys, etc. There is a teeny-tiny dressing area behind the folding room divider by shoes. Clothing is priced by category: All shirts are X, hats are X. Boutique clothing & specialty books(leather bound, sets) are priced individually. Books are separated by fiction, nonfiction & cooking. Right now they have quite a few Japanese books on various subjects. I have found some great shoes, multiple craft items(artist quality watercolor pencils were my favorite) lots of CDs, useful hardware & tools, and candles. The store is tiny, but packs a lot into a small space. Very well organized by type of item and easy shopping. Some sections, normally craft & electronics, are usually a bit overstuffed, providing the essential rummaging experience. There is a bin of 25c items. Unusual/bargain items I’ve seen: a huge tote full of designer hole punches for $ 20, all seasons of The Office(US version) for $ 4 a season, holiday items up to 90% off after the holiday, books going for $ 15 – 40 on Amazon sold at PHT’s $ 1 price, new in package Tempurpedic pillows, a table-top dog bathing station, a ‘pocket knife’ that unfolded a fork and a spoon, and camping gear. There are always plenty of staff available. It’s nice to see the same people week in and week out. Staff learn to know what each customer likes & then direct you to specific items tucked away out of sight. A rotating selection of adoptable cats are in a spacious cage by the register. Just something to note in case of allergies AND if you want cat(s). Some of the cats like to be carried around the store or cuddled by customers. If the cats are awake(no one likes interrupted sleep), feel free to ask if any of them need to be ‘walked’. *Note: their Facebook page is only about their(adorable) adoptable animals if. Unlike some other thrift shops for charity, there aren’t postings about new items in the store or sales. Brace yourself before you click, especially if you are soft-hearted & have maxed out on furry family. As with some other thrift shops, the fire marshall has come through and ensured items are no longer lining the aisles on the floor. It seems a lot more safe than when it first opened, although the suggestion regarding children & handicapped patrons still applies. Link to picture of storefront, phone & address:
