Next Car

Rude, arrogant, unpleasant, fake, criminal. Words that come to mind when I look back on this bad deal my wife and I made with them. We now owe about 6g’s — We put down $$$ down as well. The vehicle had a problem that to a used car salesman mechanic should be obvious stuff… Input shaft bearing noise as soon as it starts up first time. However, my wife and I are NOT mechanics and were told this car was «different» as it had a «high end» modern CVT transmission, and «they are a bit noisy.» We were duped! Even took it to a mechanic who works on trucks and he said there was «bearing noise» and that on most Ford trucks it’s not a huge issue and he can fix it (he was not AT ALL familiar with this vehicle or it’s CVT transmission) Upon further investigation we are now told it could cost well over $ 4000.00 for a Ford dealer to repair!
I called Next Car Inc. today, as here in some of the bad reviews he fronts up a response like he would make it better if only given a chance. What a joke. All I got was rudeness and belittlement. TOTALLY condescending and arrogant. I stated before, my mechanic (who they did not want to even allow to see the car) said it had some bearing noise, and that it’s not the end of the world on a Ford truck. But he’s not sure on this car” — INFACT ON THIS CAR it IS the death throes of your CVT — The beginning of the end. Upon more research it was found to be fairly obvious that used car lots and their mechanics know what these bad CVT’s sound like. Not many OTHER mechanics are real familiar with the CVT besides Ford dealers, used car ripoff artists and ALL of the transmission shops. The used car lot dealers (owners and mechanics anyway) know all about them believe me.
I was duped into the purchase as was my wife… Lied to and deceived, treated like crap and then offered a sky high «tiered» style warranty which they wanted $ 2500.00 more IN CASH! Classic huh… I should have done more home work but we were short on time and desperately in need of a dependable car. We DO like the car. We love the looks and the interior of the car sure. BUT WE WERE TOLD it sounds that way because of the «more modern» CVT transmission, told «It’s more efficient and sound’s more like a truck»… Well yes — yes it does but you left out the rest of the sentence stating that it’s not a good sound… In fact TO ME AND MY WIFE IT WAS TREATED AS A TOTAL NON ISSUE WHEN I ASKED ABOUT IT! ALL I GOT WAS THE WE SELL QUALITY speech… Yet it IS THE ISSUE!!! BEEN CHEATED! PUNKED! STOLEN FROM! DECEIVED!
The owners Jeb and his brother are so arrogant and cocky about the price and the quality of the cars that at some point you have to look up and say «Maybe they are this cocky and stiff on their price because they know what they got and can stand firm? They sure present it that way — BE WARNED! It’s a SHAM! It’s obvious they rely on the old adage that «a sucker is born every minute»… Upon calling them to inform them of my woes I was given all sorts of legalese and stall tactics — I was belittled by one and then the other brother… One even questioned me like this: «You bought the car? No Linda did… Your wife!» Newsflash we ARE married! Abruptly
I was told to «bring it in on Monday» and hung up on!
Their argumentative and uncaring tone on the phone tells me they will stand on legalities and belittle me rather than have morals and ethics. My wife and I have been taken advantage of and burned. We NEEDED a car. We saved and suffered to buy a higher priced car so we’d avoid getting a lemon. INSTEAD WE NOW HAVE A CAR WORTH 5000 that we paid 7000 for a week ago and now it needs possibly 4000 in repairs? My kids will suffer! My relationship will suffer. I am suffering terribly now! This puts my family and I in a WORLD of STRESS and I pray to God my problem gets fixed.
Are Jeb and his bro gonna do me one right? Or are they gonna stand on their thumbs? Are they too proud of their lying and deceit prowess to take the hit on the crap car they (Next Car Inc. in Melbourne) got at auction and then lowly and KNOWINGLY passed a lemon on to a struggling family with kids at a huge profit? The insurance is another big rip off. They wanted $ 2500 MORE cash before we left the door and the «tiered» policy had huge holes, gaps, and deductibles. Classic used car rip off — First and last time dealing with a used car lot…
As a side note: If this place does me right and rectifies the problem I’ll edit my review accordingly. I just found out this car was on their lot for 8 months! EIGHT! THEY KNEW NO DOUBT! An unfair deal that hurt my family and my finances more than you know. I don’t take it lightly AT ALL. I don’t want to waste my time being an thorn in your side but I will commit to it DAILY if I have to. I’m a smart guy who can be VERY pugnacious and determined for years and years if it’s a just cause. This is a JUST CAUSE. I have zero other recourse than to exact any measure of action if not satisfied. I’ll see you on Monday…

Couldn’t agree more with some of the reviews on these fellas. I came here awhile back and took a look at a 2005 silver mini cooper convertible with my mother and they are right they do have a «We don’t haggle on the price» policy because the dam price will make you walk out in the first place. I looked at competitive pricing for same car, model, mileage and these guys were way up above kbb, and everyone else that was selling this particular car in the space coast/​orlando area. My mother was a little disappointed, but I told her I’d get that exact car for a cheaper price and sure enough I went back home, searched the classifieds for a few weeks and boom, exact same car with only 29,000 more miles was selling for $ 5200 less than their list price ($ 13,500, approx 50,000 mi) which they wouldn’t budge on, had it shipped, and still had a huge amount of cash left over (happy to report car has close to 100,000 with no issues). Folks, these guys are unreasonable in their dealings and you’ll be haggling until the cows come home and graze for awhile… it would seem when you have enough reviews talking about overpriced cars, unwilling to negotiate etc. they’d learn a few lessons, but I guess not.

Purchased a car with a serious hidden defect, they gave excuses but never fixed the issue. Called to discuss what they planned to do about the safety problem, they hung up on me.
Seem nice initially but quickly become very very unprofessional and rude. I would never purchase a car from this business or these people again.
They do not negotiate with price.

I just had the most horrible experience EVER. The sales guy could not have been more rude or condescending and suggested that I don’t have enough money in the bank to buy the car, after assuring him that I do, he began to suggest that if I am so smart about pricing cars maybe I should quit my job and come to work there.
NOW, I thought it couldn’t get any worse, until his «boss» came over and took a seat. He was even more rude and condescending then the sales guy, now I know where they get it from.
We couldn’t make a deal on the car and came withing $ 400 bucks and that’s ok, just business. If you are looking to be treated like a piece of dirt and talked down too, this is your place. There are plenty of other options in the immediate area. I suggest you take your business elsewhere

Not really willing to work with you on price. If you’re looking for something without any money down or a trade in they are more than likely for you. If you plan on buying the car from them then definitely not a good place to go. Steer clear if you don’t want an overpriced car!
