As soon as I started work as a trial attorney at Southern Oregon Public Defenders in 2007, I knew I had found my calling. I relished helping others through tough situations and paying attention to detail as I work. Questioning witnesses is an amazing experience. Closing arguments make me come alive.

I was born a preacher’s son in Memphis, Tennessee to strong parents who both had a great work ethic. I graduated from the University of Kentucky’s Honors Program in 2003 and went immediately into UK’s Law School with a Provost’s Fellowship, earning that degree in 2006 with a focus on real estate and intellectual property. Since that time, I also accomplished a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University and worked to be admitted and graduate from the prestigious National Criminal Defense College in Macon, GA.

In my off time, I am an avid endurance runner who has run 26 races of at least marathon distance and recently ran the Boston Marathon.

I would consider myself young professional who recently found himself in serious, possibly life-​changing trouble and in need of a great defense attorney. While researching attorneys, I stumbled across the online profile for Mr. Justin Rosas which included several exemplary reviews that had been posted by either past or present clients he has represented.
Based on the reviews that I read, I contacted Justin and from that first conversation, I knew I had chosen the right attorney. The thoroughness of his questioning immediately allowed him to start forming the backbone to my case. Often times during our conversation Justin would explain the reasoning for his questions and it would always entail a specific law or statute or past case that he was able to recite and explain effortlessly, as well as how it could apply to my situation.
Although Justin was able to successfully argue my case to a full dismissal of all charges, I was still able to see him in action. As my case progressed through the legal system, Justin was always intensely prepared and professional in his demeanor. Speaking to him before various proceedings, Justin would explain all of the different possible angles the prosecution could attempt to argue and he then explained his planned rebuttal or defense tactic for each one. I think the most important quality that I recognized in Justin Rosas (besides the level of understanding and compassion he provided to me during the whole ordeal), that came to light at the most important time imaginable was his ability to think on his feet during his arguments at the various hearings. Often times the prosecution would attempt to introduce new information or to spin key factors during arguments and Justin was able to quickly thwart these attempts in a manner that demonstrates a fundamental understanding of the law and of my specific case. It wasn’t simply a script he had memorized, he really knows the law and how best to use it to your advantage.
