Specialties
Pita Pit in Medford has an array of deli, Mediterranean, and vegetarian food that we cook on a grill. A fresh wheat or white pita is opened into a pocket and stuffed full of any veggies the customers desires. We have 14 vegetables to choose from that can also be sauté’d on the grill. 5 cheeses to choose from and over 22 unique sauces including tzatziki, roasted red pepper hummus, ancho chipotle, and jalapeño ranch. The pita is filled with the veggies and the main ingredient added, then rolled up into a unique convenient wrap that you can eat in house or on the go. We deliver as little as 2 pitas and larger orders are available with short notice.
Our falafel is fried and then grilled, no mix. Our gyro is made from kronos, a Greek family in Chicago, our deli meats are sliced in house. Our bread is made specifically for Pita Pit and it’s style. Our veggies are chopped daily and avocado’s cut right in front of you.
Pita Pit-fresh thinking, healthy eating
History
Established in 2008.
Ben and Bridget Anderson quit their corporate jobs to focus on their dream of owning and operating a Pita Pit. It was 2 years in the planning and building stages until we were able to open our doors in Nov. of 2008. Since then we have been dedicated to operating a successful Pita Pit franchise and also opened in the city of Grants Pass in 2010. We are in the stores daily. We care about our customers, service, and food.
Pita Pit was born in Kingston, ON in 1995 by founder Nelson Lang. It has since spread to the US operations of Pita Pit USA located in Coeur d’Alene, ID. 270 locations are projected by the end of 2015 and we have franchises in New Zealand and Australia.
Meet the Business Owner
Ben A.
Business Owner
I (Ben) graduated from North Medford HS in 2001 and from Southern Oregon University with a BS in Business Management in 2005. I went directly to work for Farmer’s insurance in Portland, OR and to say the least, did not enjoy it. I moved back to Medford after 2 years and was an operations manager for a long term care insurance company, working with an office in the Philippines for data entry. I had the love of Pita Pit the whole time and knew that Southern Oregon deserved one. That was when my wife Bridget and I pooled our efforts together and opened a Pita Pit.
Bridget came from an entrepreneurial background from franchising the first Dutch Bro’s coffee in Brookings, OR. Learning of how retain happy and customer service oriented employee’s is her specialty. Bridget does the hiring for both stores and most of the customer service training. We have a pretty strict hiring practice for a quick service restaurant as we care about the people we employ and also how they treat others.
