I am actually complaining about the Lowe’s in west islip, ny. I have to write the review on this Lowe’s location because west islip, ny does not even come up on Unilocal.I assume because the service is bad here every day that the company does not want the public to know. I am currently in the store. I am trying to buy a, large item, and the woman near me is also trying to buy a large item. When I first arrived about 30 employees were standing around having a morning motivation meeting to get the day started. When complete each and every staff member walked away and ignored every customer in their path. I was ignored by anyone I asked for help. All those happy staffers at the morning meeting were now angry and appears to once again hate their life and job. Management failed here today. The company failed here today. I stopped going to Home Depot because I thought Lowe’s was better. I WASWRONG

I have been coming here for years and I have never had a problem with this place. I usually don’t need help but there are times where I do and it is tough to find someone to help me. I went here today to go get a few items and wound up leaving with a lot more than I intended to go there and get. I was very happy though there was a 10 percent discount. happy fathers day. I don’t know what all the negative reviews are about this place top notch sometimes it is tough to find someone but get some personality go up to someone talk to them they’ll help you.

Last July I purchased a True Temper 6CU ft. Wheelbarrow. The plastic shell cracked. Since it is spring I went to purchase just the shell. I was told by store employees that I have to purchase the whole kit. Why do I have to buy everything when I only need the shell. This really grabs the consumer by the shorthairs.

Re Troy Bilt 25cc 2cycle trimmer how annoying! I have purchased many items from this lowe’s for my farm. 6 months ago, I purchased this weed wacker, which we used a total of 3 times before it crapped out a couple of months ago. I finally found time to bring it back today, and was told that there was absolutely nothing they could do for me, not even store credit, since more than 30 days elapsed since purchased. now, I get that it’s been more than 6 months, so ok, no dice, but 30 days? that’s insane! especially for not even store credit. I have to admit that if I had purchased it like, 35 days ago and was sent away with my broken weed wacker and no refund, they’d be hearing from me with something more intense than a bad rating on Unilocal. Sorry Lowe’s, I’ll be buying my equipment somewhere else from now on! Too bad these big box stores have put so many family owned businesses out of business, because at those places you can get good service and advice! GR! PS, I did have my original receipt. :^(

While it’s jarringly painful to access this Lowe’s from the LIE going Eastbound(it’s quite seamless WB), my experience with a ship-to-store pickup here was pretty excellent in an age of mediocore service. Initially, a cheerful guy called me up to supplement my ‘Order Ready’ e-mail(something I’d normally be frustrated by, but this dude was fuh-riendly). A few days later, the staffmember who doled out said item was alarmingly personable. My only other qualm with this Lowe’s(and I haven’t been to many) is that the size of the parking lot exceeds the threshold at which it becomes both flabbergasting & infuriating. Use your property for something useful — that many people never need to grab home improvement wares simultaneously.
