Loconte Rink

I play pickup ice hockey here on Sunday evenings and this newly renovated rink is pretty awesome despite a few, minor flaws.
First let me start with some of the awesome things about this place, mainly the quality of the ice. The ice there is absolutely awesome! Except for a few inches where the zamboni comes in and out for the resurfacing, the rest of the ice is absolutely spotless and extremely well maintained. It is also very well lit and the benches are long and clean.
But then comes the few negatives. The locker rooms weren’t part of the renovation and are tiny and aren’t well heated either. There’s also a few issues in the bench area where the boards are too high, making it a bit difficult to hop over them. Oh and the doors from the benches to the ice don’t close easily for some reason. But that aside this place is mint and parking is plentiful.
All in all this is one of the best rinks in the Boston area that I’ve had the pleasure to play at. I look forward to playing here every week and the pros completely outshine the cons.
