Meet the Business Owner
Vittorio E.
Business Owner
Vittorio Ettore, Chef/Owner of Bistro 5, has been in the food industry for 20 years. Born in Tuscany, he and his family moved to Venezuela in his early teens. In 1987, he began his first job as a busboy and sever at the acclaimed Caballeria Rusticana, in Caracas. In 1990, Ettore moved to Boston to study Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts, soon realizing the kitchen was the key to unlocking his creativity.
After working in the kitchens around the world, Ettore opened Bistro 5 in 1999. The restaurant’s décor and atmosphere reflect that of his beloved childhood character, the Arlecchino, A Commedia Dell’ Arte character that is colorful, full of magic and always highly optomistic.
Throughout the years, Ettore has developed a unique cuisine influenced by his education and cultural immersion with a concentration on Italian with French, Spanish and Asian influences. Contrast in flavor, texture and color, quality and presentation are signatures he has honed along his journey.
