Bad experience. Seated for 10 minutes with no one coming to see us. Had to get the hostess to get someone to wait on us. We ordered, it took another 10 to get our drinks. And another 15 to get our food. By that time we due to leave for a function that started at 7. My friend didn’t even get her full order. I saw our waitress a few time talking to the manager. You would think we would have gotten a discount of some kind. We had asked for the bill when we got our food. No discount. Free drinks would have made us happy. It would have taken almost 20 dollars off. My little glass of sub par wine cost 12 alone! We didn’t see our waitress after that. She was done with us I guess. I had to pull over someone else so I could get a to go box. Food was decent.

I grew up in Medford, MA but now live in Ohio. Was visiting the family and decided to visit This place because as growing up this was a go to place for amazing pizza and great atmosphere. We ordered margaritta pizza a small on multi grain and also a large on regular dough with tomato pizza. The pizza was very greasy with oil dripping from it and on the large pizza one half didnt have cheese so we asked to have another pizza with cheese but the server took the same pizza and added cheese to cheese to it so the second time it was all burnt so we declined to eat it and asked to another one. Third time it had cheese but was extremely greasy and blend. Very disappointed with my experience. Also very pricey for a very sub par pizza.

You know when you’re going in to something and you’re thinking«Why am I doing this? Something tells me this won’t end well.» I had that feeling going here today. I have been here before, but I couldn’t remember why exactly I didn’t want to go back. Now I remember. The service is slow beyond comprehension. This has been the case on more than one occasion. On the recent visit though, it did not look short staffed, and it was not over busy, but still one simple lunch pasta for one person took about 45 minutes. Also getting one glass of water took about 15 minutes. No smiles from the waitstaff at all, nothing even close. The food tasted good, same as always. Since it’s a chain, that’s not too hard to accomplish.

Ok. This was such an odd experience. There was a group of 6 of us for a late lunch and our waitress seemed super overwhelmed. She told us she only worked one shift a week, which is why she kept handing my friend her draft beer list to read for himself every time she came back to tell him that they were out of whichever beer he had previously ordered. Oy. The food was fine, for those of us who got ours. They offer a nice lunch special with unlimited bread and salad. One person was without her meal for quite a while before we flagged several people down to ask about it since our waitress was running around somewhere else. When her meal came, we were almost all finished so they did comp her lunch, which was nice. The waitress also sarcastically apologized to us for our«horrible experience.» Her words, not ours — it was mostly a comedy of errors, not that horrible I suppose.

Terrible. That about sums it up. When a «white pizza» comes with marinara sauce and a «pepperoni» pizza comes with sausage… well…thumbs down.

We used to go to Bertucci when my daughter was little and always had a good meal… Last Sunday we went in the evening and had one of the worst food I had in a long time. we ordered the cod and the portion of fish was small, dried up and overcooked. The bread was good as usual but you don’t go there for bread. The staff is nice and maybe the best thing this restaurant has. Bertucci’s quality has gone bad in the last couple of years but this is a new low.

Past few times I have been to this location, either the food is bad or service had sucked or both. The 1st time, our waitress was really bad. She was pushy and was not attentive and had a little bit of an attitude. My moms pasta had tons of water in it and the waitress didn’t really care. Another time we went, we had the same waitress. The food was good, but the service was VERY slow and there was only one other party seated. The waitress kept disappearing. This location is very disappointing.

I come to this location and the one in Alewife on a monthly basis for personal dinner as well as work lunches /work employee appreciation events for my staff. I was going to give this location 2 to 3 stars because it’s not the worst Bertucci’s — takeout is fine, dine-in the service can be inattentive and the tables/menus can be sticky and dusty. Giving 1 star because I recently moved down the street to a new apartment building, and my new tenant folder came with a coupon from Bertucci’s «welcoming» me to the neighborhood with a free pizza. Since I’m a regular customer anyway, I thought why not. I call in a takeout order, show up to pay, and after 4 to 5 staff confer, they won’t honor the coupon. I ask why, and the African American gentleman(he wouldn’t give me his name) replied first that they«no longer» accept that coupon; then when I pressed a bit more, he said they couldn’t take it because it’s a copy of a copy. Not even talking about how the reason for not accepting the coupon could change within 0.5 seconds, or that I’m not responsible for my building making a copy of a copy(even if that’s the case), legally I’m pretty sure there’s no language on the coupon itself with regard to terms, limitations, expiration, etc. I asked for a staff name of someone to call, but I guess he couldn’t give his name because he handed me the business card for a regional manager. Either way, I declined to pay for the pizza I had only ordered because it was free, paid for my two pasta dishes and small side salad(about $ 35), and went on my way. I didn’t make a big deal or anything, but moving forward Bertucci’s has lost a regular customer personally and on my office end. Thanks for welcoming me to the neighborhood ;)

So we went here sunday afternoon for some pizza. Got seated right away. Parking wasn’t bad either. Food was great. bread was fresh. beer was delicious. Only issue I had was our waiter Rob. We are two grown adults and he’s talking to us like we were little kids at Chukie Cheeses. I mean, he was into it. Things like Do you want the regular iced tea… or the RASSSSBERYYYY” GOODCHOICEMAN! «Who wantsssss DESSERRTTTT» Alrighty big guy you done with that? «» We pretty much felt like we regressed about 15 years. In retrospect it was kind of funny, but somewhat obnoxious. Other than the overly excited waiter who could be related to Ned Flanders, who did a good job of bringing us our food on time and while it was hot, the experience was fine.

I always come here alone with friends. I enjoy the food and the Staff. My favorite bartenders are Lucy and Marc. I usually just sit at the bar. They are really great at what they do. They are attentive and I enjoy that the most! I usually have their crab cakes with a salad. Their salad is always fresh. And if you go for lunch there is free rolls and salad. I appreciate their great work, its a quiet place and I usually go there to watch the game or just to joy lunch all by myself. Thanks Bertuccis my dining experience there is always great!

We took our family here on a weekday afternoon and had a great experience. The pizza Robbie, our server, recommended was the Pucillo. It was very yummy! We also got a BBQ chicken and it was a hit too. They were accommodating to move us out of a table that had direct sunlight, the bread came quickly, server was attentive, kids had crayons and activity books provided by the restaurant, and we were given extra napkins without asking. It was also nice that the pizzas were not put on the table, so we weren’t crowded. The adults got a carafe of Sangria and it was a deal and tasted great as well.

$ 40 for dinner for two, including tip, and appetizer, and a glass of cheap wine. You can’t complain *too* much. This review is on the low side of three stars — the huge restaurant was suspiciously empty for a Monday night, and our server was suspiciously absent throughout the meal. The pizza was also suspiciously only mildly warm by the time it was brought out, with suspiciously un-melty cheese. However, we sat around with our empty water glasses and empty plates, conversing the minutes and hours away, pretending it was some fine French restaurant. Where else can you get a two hour dining experience for only $ 40? I suspect that, if we had really wanted to, we could have tracked down the waitress and gotten out of there sooner, and I feel bad taking off more than two stars for merely slow service. Eh, it is what it is. The spinach dip appetizer is fantastic, by the way! Great to share for two.

I not crazy about this place and after today will NOT return. Usually a hit or miss — today huge miss! Waited 8 minutes for a waitress to come over to greet us. The waitress was ver nice and obviously overworked. Other waitresses standing around or setting up table for NO patrons. Rolls were cold — both times! Ordered a calzone that came out wrong. My moms sandwich was dry. Waitress was so busy running around that we couldn’t even get her attention. Other waitress saw us trying to get her attention and ignored us. You think they would ask if we needed something. NOPE. Just stood around doing nothing watching our waitress run around waiting on all the tables. Finally got the attention of the lazy waitress and asked to speak to the manager which she happily obliged. You could tell that put waitress wasn’t one of the pack. Whether it was a cultural difference or maybe because she was prettier than them they shunned her. The manager Chris came over and was very nice. I told him about first the food then the awful staff with exception to our waitress. He comped our meal and offered us another meal since I didn’t eat mine. We declined. I hope that the management hears about this and their HUGE problem with their waitstaff. Unacceptable! 2 stars — 1 for our waitress and 1 for the manager Chris.

Service was awful. I’m only giving them 3 stars because they were able to accommodate my group with such short notice when surrounding restaurants had and hour plus wait.

I’ve been here a few times with my family when I’m in town, Italian by heritage. The bread is awesome, hot and fresh, the olive oil is seasoned with some red pepper for a little kick. I’ve had the pizzas, they were awesome, ravioli was good, and most recently got the shrimp & lobster risotto and it was good too. No complaints, love going whenever I’m in town.

It’s a bertuccis, so if you’ve been to one then you know what to expect. The food is good for a chain. The staff is always nice and service is quick and attentive. We like to come with my niece because they give you dough to play with. A good place to bring children where the food is still decent. They have a TON of parking. We love the bread and oil, the pizza, and pasta dishes.

First time there and I enjoyed myself. My husband and I went as a date and had a gift card. I liked the warm rolls and quality olive oil to dip in(I usually wouldn’t go for that, but the oil actually tasted great.) Had a nice simple salad, and a great appetizer, the antipasto. Great focacia, delicious sliced mozzarella, a yummy dressing drizzled across everything. Then we shared a large margarita pizza. By the time the pizza came we were really full and each only had a slice and had it boxed up. Everything was very tasty and the service was very fast. I’m confused because many reviews are claiming slow service. We were there at 2pm on a Friday, maybe we got lucky. The only thing I would’ve improved was the dessert menu. I thought it was a small selection so we didn’t get anything, but we were also too full.

We had a 15 minute wait and realized the place was packed. We were seated quickly, but things went south from there. I got a small salad which was great and my boyfriend and I ordered two small pizzas. He had a pizza with Salami and I(think) 2 different kinds of Peppers. I quickly noticed that his cheese didn’t look melted all the way, but he enjoyed it anyway. I ordered a small pizza with Mushrooms & Onions… NOCHEESE. Although, I asked for grated cheese. My pizza crust was white… even on the bottom. It wasn’t cooked enough and I sent it back. My pizza came back, but no grated cheese. I waited and waited and then finally began eating my pizza. My boyfriend took a slice of mine and when I had 2 slices left, the grated cheese finally arrived. The last mistake was our bill. We were charged $ 38 and change and we paid. Then the waiter realized he gave us the wrong bill. Our bill was actually $ 32 and change. Ugh. We tipped him well… it wasn’t his fault. The place was packed and perhaps they were understaffed? I don’t know, but I definitely won’t be back to this location.

Let me preface by saying it actually enjoy Bertuccis. Tasty and cheap Italian? I dig it. I know When I walk in it’s not a legit five course fine Italian cuisine, but it beats making pasta at home. The one star is for the kind manager who ended up paying for our disastrous meal. My fiancé and I went to Bertuccis at 5pm on 10⁄2. The service began well with our waitress seating us and bringing us warm bread with oil. She brought our waters out promptly as well. Not too bad. Disaster began after putting our order in. We ordered a stuff mushroom appetizer, a tortellini pasta and a baked salmon with green beans and broccoli. And then the waiting… Waiting… 5:15 still waiting and no sign of our waitress. Waiting… Waiting… Hmm? Where is our appetizer? It’s 5:35 and still nothing. No appetizer. No entrees and more disastrous, no damn waitress. Waiting and getting ticked. We decide that if the food does not arrive by 5:45 we are leaving. Waiting… Finally at around 5:50, ANOTHER waitress notices our distress and comes over. I explain the situation and she runs to get the manager while apologizing profusely. Thank you kind lady because we hadn’t seen our actual waitress for more than 30min. Right after we put in our complaint, our actual waitress brings the food. Awkwaaaaard. I inform her that we will leave and do not want the food. She was stunned! Like seriously??? Lady, you didn’t even come to check in on us! Hell yea i wanna leave! Luckily, the manager intervened, paid for our check an gave us a gift certificate. One star Bertuccis Medford.

I give the service by the manager on duty a 0(zero) the lady manager said we can not have a bottle of wine at our table and the couple sitting near us did have a bottle. The manager also said upon getting the bill and boxes and a wrapped bottle of wine leftovers she said we can’t party in the parking lot. Strange since neither of us expected that comment from the manager. I guess possible racism?
