So I am not into the whole«tanning thing» however I wanted to get some color/sun exposure before I went to the Caribbean. I had tried a tanning place in the city that I was not so impressed with, and decided to try Beach Bum Tanning based on it’s Unilocal reviews. SO glad I went to Beach Bum. The woman working behind the front desk could not have been more friendly and knowledgable. She knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and was able to give me specific information about which tanning bed I should use and what amount of time. She also came into the tanning room to clean everything a *second* time and to show me how everything worked(music, off button for emergencies, etc). The equipment seemed very new and everything was extremely clean. On my way out the door, she said good bye to me by «first name» and wished me a good trip.

Like the place but the website said they were open until 11 so I drove here only to find the place dark and closed at 9:45. Could’ve had a better page info. I mean it is a legit business.

So my unlimited package expired two weeks ago. It was suppose to be a temporary thing while my other salon gets renovated after the fire. Unfortunately it is still not opened. So I went and talked to the owner. After talking for a few minutes on what I am looking to do we reviewed my options and came up with a great package at a fantastic price. She went out of her way to make it happen and I could not be more pleased. Now I won’t get those winter time blues. I won’t even get the spring time blues either. lol Place is always immaculate. Staff is always friendly. Parking is always a cinch. And I do a lot of shopping in the immediate area which makes getting my color on an easy experience.

I’ve gone here for years and I’ve always been more than happy with how tan I get here. So yes the beds are great here but what I really want to say is the girls here are amazing. Always so friendly! I left my tanning lotion here last week and due to working long hours I haven’t come back into today. I thought I had lost the bottle in my car or somewhere, so I didn’t bother to ask if they had found one, but when I walked in to tan I said my name and they had my bottle! They found it in the room when I left and put a note on it! I was so happy! It may seem small to some, but the girl who cleaned the room took the extra step to make the note with my name, it’s things like this that make loyal customers. Honest and friendly workers This is why I refuse to tan anywhere else, great beds and great workers

It’s unfortunate I was going to start coming here to tan after work since it’s so close but I called on a Sunday and the girl who answered was so rude… I called for info on rates since i was literally 2 seconds away and about to go inside but after she answered me so rudely and then told me to call back just to get pricing rates I was instantly turned off. She was like«can you call back in 2 seconds» And I was shocked. I said okay and she didn’t say bye. Usually they would say if you can please hold or may I get your number so I can call you back? But no. I’m not going to call back lol then I checked on Unilocal to see if it was worth going in after that call and someone else complained about the Sunday girl so it sucks u were my first impression. I’ll look elsewhere.

This place is not the most glamourus of tanning salons, but it is bright, clean, and the staff is very friendly. There is lots of parking and the prices are reasonable. I like that they have a mix of beds and stand up booths. It’s also super convenient location for my commute home!

Some of the staff is great and other staff member especially the girl that works on Sunday is by far one of the rudest most disrespectful people I have ever seen. She is lazy and ignorant. She was exceptionally rude on the phone when I called to as a few very simple questions and then when I arrived she was even ruder is person which I didn’t think was possible. I highly recommit letting go of the dead weight. Customer service should be something you pride yourself on as that is who is going to make sure business successful. Your staff is the face of your organization and if this is the norm good luck because I sure you will start to lose business.

I Used to go here. never felt pressured by the staff. They are all very nice. I got great color from their machines. However I have had better at other salons. Overall it’s a great location and I would go back. Prices are somewhat high but they have some good offers and deals.

Went to do a little tanning before going on a vacation to a hot climate just so I wouldn’t be my normal pale complextion. Compared to the limited selection of other places I have been I thought they were clean, beds were powerful, but definitely more expensive than other places I had been.

I base all tanning salons on 5 metrics(which add up to five stars) Cleanliness, Friendliness, Quality, Convenience, and Price *Cleanliness — this place has it. Big, open salon seemed well maintained. I have now been twice and both times the rooms and beds were clean and sanitized. *Friendliness — inconsistent. Some girls that work here are super sweet, others could give a sh*t less that you are a paying customer, still others make you feel like a total idiot and look at you like one. Ehh… *Quality — S Class Beds. Need I say more? I have to turn the face lamps down they are so strong. Lovelovelove. *Convenience — for me, amazing. About a half mile from my house. Hours — awesome. Open till 11? Thank god. *Price — a LITTLE steep, but buy 2 get 1 free means $ 8 per tan in an S Class Bed that can run you $ 15+ elsewhere, so I’ll give them this one. I can definitely see myself coming here long-term — bottom line is, I get great color here, it’s clean, and it’s reasonably priced for how good the beds are. Done and done.

This is a pretty cool place! I like it because it’s simple, the people are friendly, they sanitize their stuff, and they don’t try and sell you a million products. The products are a bit steep in price. I think that’s the only reason that I can’t give it an entire five stars. The thing I find is that many tanning salons are chock full of employees who are snotty, pretentious, and immature. They are NOT that here at Beach Bum. I would def recommend it here. There is parking with no worries about tickets or towing. There’s music while you are getting your tan on. Anyway, I would give it a whirl if you are looking for a cool, simple, unsnotty place to go…

Prices are a bit steep but the girl was nice enough to tell me about $ 26 for 3 visits package, which isn’t advertised. If you’re like me and tan about once a week, this is your most economical option. $ 13, 1 visit $ 60, 1 month unlimited :-/ or $ 26*2= $ 52, 6 visits :-) They have top notch equipment like HP beds and the Super Sonic stand-up. The staff is always fast and friendly. The facilities are modern and clean. There is free parking. Better prices, and it would be a solid 5 stars.

Decent place. Really strong beds and if you get a package it’s a great price. This place has no bells and whistles, but the prices can’t be beat with a package. They frequently have specials going on as well. The staff won’t really remind you to wear eye protection — so don’t forget to do that!
