These guys have moved us several times and they are superb at what they do. Reliable sand affordable. Today I had them help me move my mom out of a house and an apartment, it was a complex job and the guys (Josh, Blaze and Ben) were upbeat, creative, and hard working. They even rented a Uhaul for us so I didn’t have that extra hassle. I highly recommend them. Thank you! Great name because my bank isn’t sore, the way it would have been if I had moved myself!

My photo’s were deleted. Surprise. Too bad because they showed how this company does business. Totally and completely dishonest company. Avoid at ALL costs.‘s I would walk every piece of furniture I own to my new house before I allowed them anywhere near my furniture. (Any questions, send me a message and I will share the screenshots with you.) In the latest response he comments that it’s too bad I can’t afford to pay $ 14 for blankets. That’s not it at all. The fact is he said he would tie my furniture down with rope, when his website clearly states that furniture straps would be used. I don’t know about anyone else, but I spent a lot of money buying nice oak furniture. Simply asking about whether or not he truly had insurance, and the response I got back sent some huge red flags my way.
Edited to add: First he accused me of using foul language and then hanging up on him, I don’t use foul language EVER. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard claimed. I am a caregiver with developmentally and psychologically disabled adults, so I’m quite patient. I don’t swear EVER. I was never told the deposit was not refundable. That was never talked about. He cancelled, said he really didn’t want to work with me since I asked about the insurance. I also received a call from him stating that if I removed my bad reviews, that he would return my deposit, but unless I did I wouldn’t see any of my deposit back. Don’t trust a liar. I’ve already filed a claim with my bank credit card to reverse the charges. And I stand by my review. Sorry, you cannot buy my reviews. After I posted that he told me he would refund my money if I would just remove the negative reviews, he came back and deleted his first comment, stating that I must have the wrong company, and the company did seem sketchy. After I posted the screenshots, he removed that post as well. I am now contacting Unilocal and letting them know about the voicemail on my phone in which he offered to refund my money if I deleted the reviews.
Doesn’t even deserve one star. Sketchy company. Recommend you stay away from them. I requested movers and was told I needed to get equipment with the truck, even though they said they provided equipment on their website. Not only do they not have enough equipment as stated on their website, I also was told I needed to give the movers $ 10 for gas, which is a little out there, since, whose employer pays them for transportation to work? I went ahead and reserved then found out I needed to pay for the equipment in addition to the truck rental. I was told that they would rent a dolly and furniture blankets. He wouldn’t agree to pay for them. He stated that they would have rope to tie stuff down instead of the straps that are advertised on the website. At this point I was concerned about the reliability of the company, so I asked if they were in fact insured as the web site stated. I was told that he didn’t want to do business with someone who was already asking about claims. All I wanted to know was whether or not I would be covered if the movers were as sketchy as they sounded. I was told he was cancelling me and would refund half my deposit. Now I had to file a dispute with the credit company, because I asked about insurance for items they damaged. He said that it seemed like I was going to damage my own furniture just so I could file a claim against them, when all I wanted was to be sure that my furniture that was going to be tied down with rope would be safe.

Hired Back Savers to move from a storage unit to a new house. The guys were prompt and quickly got to work emptying the storage unit. The truck was loaded efficiently and when we arrived at the house they put down runners over the carpet to protect them. They completed the job in the contracted 4 hours with no damage to furniture or the house.

I thought they did a great job but when I went to look at my storage unit — which I thought had been completely packed up and moved — still had stuff in it!!! I was shocked and disappointed because I had a big filing cabinet that was left. I also found broken glass in my bedroom from a green tea candle that was shattered on my carpet that was not cleaned up or told about. One of the workers got sick and had to go home which delayed my move waiting for a replacement. The owner apologized and said he’d step in and help — and he ended up staying in his truck talking on the phone. My bed should have been taken apart before heading down my flight of steps and dinging up my old apartment walls… My brother ended up taking it apart before returning it upstairs to my new place. I’m bummed because I had several people recommend this company who had great experience. The end kicker was when an employee/​mover asked to use my bathroom in my new place before he left… ugh — not professional.

Best moving company hands down ! They were careful, fast, and efficient. Very friendly and helpful also. Would highly recommend.

Back Savers saved my day. My home was condemned and they fit me in with only 24 hours notice. The guys (Brandon and Spencer) were so nice and considerate. They handled my belongings with care and treated me with respect (even when I was getting stressed).

I had an excellent experience with Back-​savers. I called them 2 days before moving day and they got me in. Plus no hassle when I had to change the date the day before and the time the day of.
Blasé and Newt were our amazing movers. They were on time and busted their butts the entire time. They were strategic with how they loaded the truck and took the necessary care to ensure our belongings arrived undamaged. They were so respectful and VERY personable. These guys worked so hard for almost 4 hours and maybe took a total of 10 minutes break!
I shop around so believe me when I say these guys are the best price in town with a QUALITY SERVICE.

Called on a Sunday morning… thinking no one would answer… but thank God someone did answer and they sent Zack and Tyler over that afternoon to help me move!!!’ They were awesome!!! They were respectful, polite, and efficient!!! They worked hard and I am so thankful to the both of them!!! They were a blessing!!!

We used back savers about a year ago when we first moved from California to Medford. The two young men were right on time, as well as super quick and efficient. We are getting ready to move back down to California for work reasons, and we will be using them again! Highly recommend this company!

We were from Sonoma county, ca and we were purchasing a 1000 pound concrete fireplace, they were there on time and 3 of them moved my fireplace onto our truck, they were friendly and got the job done! Fantastic!

So I hired these guys a few weeks ago, and at first, I thought they were ok. They were fast and nice guys. But over the last couple of weeks, I have found more and more damage to my furniture, floors, piano, etc. They broke the foot off of my cabinet and just laid it inside the cabinet without mentioning it. They scraped up the edge of a brand new table, gouged the wood floors, and left the washer on my porch instead of in the garage. And today I finally realized that they hooked up the hot water to the clearly marked «cold» valve and the cold water to the clearly marked «hot» valve. I just washed all of my most delicate clothes in super hot water. If you have nice things, I would recommend another moving company.

Throughout the move, the Movers were extremely professional and for the most part treated furniture with care. They worked very quickly to load my truck and equally as fast to unload my truck at the new home. Very helpful and saved me time and money.
The problems began that night when I noticed scratches on the top of my fine furniture. Upon further investigation, the scratches and gouges were similar on all 4 pieces of furniture. By reasonable deduction, I gathered that it was probably from repeated action, something like moving with a hand truck, since they were all moved with a hand truck. The furniture was not scratched like this prior to the move.
I called the owner, Josh (a 25 year old naïve kid) as soon as I had time the next day. At that point I was informed that they have a 24 hr notification policy and that I was 5 minutes past the deadline. WHAT? REALLY? First I was never notified of said notification period, and second, that’s a pretty poor way to retain customers. Why would I wait until 5 minutes past the deadline if I had known?
After a lengthy argument about all this, during which Josh minimized my concerns by telling me the scratches were just minor, and not uncommon during moving, Josh said «he gets calls like this all the time. People wanting to get their money back, scamming his company». So, it’s obvious my interests are not his interests if he immediately assumes the customer is out to get him.
He told me he talked to the movers and they said they didn’t damage the furniture. Well of course they said that! Why would they start a claim over something minor– it’s not like they broke the furniture in half, right? Josh’s solution was to offer me $ 100 to go away. The furniture cost over $ 2000 new and would cost more than $ 100 to fix properly.
Eventually I got Josh to agree to call reputable furniture repair professionals in the Portland area, to get quotes to repair my furniture. After several days of «no response» from the two companies, Josh offered me $ 175 to go away. Just because I didn’t trust him, I called one of the places. The owner of that place said he did, in fact, send Josh a quote and told me it would be $ 500‑1200 to fix the furniture correctly.
When I asked Josh if he had heard from any of the furniture repair companies, he said no. So, he was lying to me and trying to pay less money to get me to go away. So then he balked again and said «that guy is way over priced.» Incidentally I got a second quote which was very similar to the first. But Josh still thought he could get some furniture repair guy to «just buff it out». Now, it’s fine furniture, not a car. You can’t just buff out gouges and match stain simply. It takes some finesse. So josh obviously doesn’t know what he is talking about, but if someone will let him, he“‘ll pull the wool over their eyes.
In the end, he paid me to go away. $ 400, and made me post a good review on Angieslist in order to receive it. I have all the emails to prove it. The emails state how he «technically doesn’t owe me anything because I was 5 minutes past the 24 hr window“‘ and how «he can’t afford another negative review on Angieslist, so he hopes I rate him at least a B». However, I’m an honest person and I just couldn’t leave the positive post up there. I don’t want others to go through what I went through. That’s the purpose of Angie’s list anyway.
The guys that moved me were pretty good guys, and helped me out a lot. The price was right too but not worth all the headache that followed. Dealing with Josh and trying to get him to listen to me caused a lot of stress at a time when I didn’t need it. I would not recommend going through Backsaversmoving to hire moving help.

Next day service was very efficient, inexpensive, and professional. They worked hard and put our things where we wanted after asking. I agree with the other reviews. Thanks young lady and the guys.

We used Backsavers several times over the course of a week. They were terrific! Such a great value for how hard they work. They were on time, courteous, strong/​energetic, organized and they just smiled when they saw how many flights of stairs they’d have to move my boxes up! Thank you Backsavers!

I have used Back Savers twice. These young guys are highly professional, on time and worked their butts off. I will absolutely use them for any future moves. I have moved many times and know what is good and really know what is bad. These guys are good.
