Amazing top to bottom, service was absolutely amazing, fast, refills were quick, food was awesome,
I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was out of this world, the fries were so crispy and perfect, food was hot and fresh, I will be coming back very soon! I would highly recommend it to everyone

I ate in the restaurant once and it was terrible, I sent it back and ate at home. I have gone for ice cream a few times. The last time I went they had raised prices and made sizes smaller. The service was slow, the young girl was rude gave no greeting or Thank you. Its not outstanding ice cream just the basic soft serve flavors you would get anywhere. I have not returned nor do I plan to.

This little diner is the Best place I have ever had breakfast. Not only breakfast, but the lunch menu is huge and they cook everything perfectly, bacon crispy, poached eggs have runny yokes, but not watery. Pancakes crispy outside soft and fluffy in the middle. hash browns were brown and crispy but very flavorful. Omelettes are made to perfection, for example mushroom cheese omelette, mushrooms were sautéed before and cheese was melting but the omelette was fluffy and not brown at all… I just can’t say enough about this place, service was great, helpful, and quick! Prices are fantastic especially with the huge portions you get… we stayed in the area for a week and ate there 9 times… AMAZING!

My family comes for the breakfast and the food is great. The service is a little slow but that’s largely because it’s a local place with employees that are a bit on the old side.

Good olé fashioned diner. Monte christo pretty good but under cooked. Service excellent.

What a great place for breakfast. Food was simple but cooked perfect. Bacon was smokey and salty to perfection. Service was very good. Nothing fancy just good food resonable prices.

Mmm… tastes like childhood! Well, more specifically, the soft-​serve coffee/​raspberry twist does. The two subtle flavors combine to make something I find incredibly delicious.
I only go to Bubbles for the ice cream. I think I dined in the restaurant once, but I was very young.
Grab a cone at one of the windows, take a seat in the nearby shelter, and hop on one of the coin-​powered rides. I’m still small enough to fit on the merry-​go-​round… just watch me.
Start with 1 part ice cream, add 1 part nostalgia, and you’ve got a winning hot-​day or cool evening activity.

Well bubbles has been a hit and miss lately for me. Today was a hit though, the omelet I ordered was perfect and hit the spot. Bacon and cheese, with home fries deep fried and Italian toast. Boy oh boy it was good. Another thing that is always a hit here, atleast for me is the raspberry pie. Bubbles is the only place that does it right when it comes to that pie. I only wish they were a little bit more consisted with their lunches and dinners.

Mediocre at BEST! Food is unremarkable and bland. Service is sub par and rude. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

It’s not one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, but Bubbles is good for what it is. It’s grown to be a distinguishing part of Mechanicville and has been here for as long as I can remember. It’s been around longer than a lot of residents — myself included — have been alive. Longevity is a factor to consider, so you have to give them some credit for that.
It’s really your standard diner sort of place, and is known (as the bigass ice cream cone on the roof suggests) for its ice cream.
If you go here expecting the most amazing, upscale, high-​quality meal of your life, your perceptions are completely off-​base and I would encourage you to seek out a psychiatrist. For what it is (which should be obvious from looking at the place), it works well, and on that basis I’d recommend it.

I loved this place as a child. Lately, it seems the quality of the food, dining room and service have dropped a bit. Still one of my destinations for an east coast fish fry and a soft serve cone, though.

Although Bubbles is popular amongst my friends, I personally haven’t been impressed. I’ve eaten there twice and both times found my meals substandard.
Most recently, the tomato sauce over my Chicken Parmesan was thin and watery and the pasta was overcooked.
Granted, this could have been bad luck. Given its reputation, I’d be wiling to give Bubbles one more try.

Bubbles is a popular family restaurant serving homestyle breakfast, lunch, and dinner at affordable prices. They offer the typical breakfast dishes (served all day), sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, appetizers, sides, soups, salads, seafood, steaks, chicken, pork chops, and desserts (cakes, pies, and mostly ice cream treats).
The atmosphere inside has a homey diner feel with booth seating, table seating, and lunch counter stool seating. There are pictures of railroad and Mechanicville history on the walls. In the nicer weather, they have an outside ice cream takeout window and covered outdoor seating.
I’ve eaten good breakfasts here quite a bit in the late 1990s when I had to drop my Mom off at work nearby. The omelettes, homefries, and fritata are my breakfast favorites here. Recently, I stopped here for lunch and it’s seat yourself, so I sat down at a comfy booth. The lunch counter seats are a bit uncomfortable. I ordered some daily specials including the very smooth and creamy Macaroni & Cheese ($ 3.75), and Bob’s Beef Special ($ 5.95), which was thinly sliced beef, bacon, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, horseradish, & Russian dressing in grilled rye bread served with crispy and soft fries & pickle. I dipped the fries into the macaroni and cheese and the sandwich was very tasty, good, and buttery. I even saw «Bob» in the kitchen get my order ready. There was a recent story about Bob in the Times Union as part of the Mechanicville Losers (ML), a spinoff to NBC’s «The Biggest Loser.»
Overall, the food here is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The service was good and efficient with my server checking up on me. I wish I lived closer to Bubbles because I’d be eating here more often and most likely begin to resemble a Big «Bubble.» hehe
