Terrible place. Took my 80-year-old mother in for pink eye to the Alamance Regional Urgent Care in Mebane. Her eye was swollen shut and even a moron could see that her eye was infected. We were put in a room and left there for 2 hours. No one ever checked in on us or gave us a status. There were no other patients in the waiting room when we arrived. After 2 hours we walked out. Never saw any doctor and I am seriously wondering if there was a doctor on premises. I reported this visit to the insurance carrier in order to keep this«clinic» from billing for the non-visit. Obviously, I will never go back and if you decide to go there, even after reading this review, you should make plans to spend the entire day.

Don’t take your kids here unless it is a simple ear infection or steep throat. They will take your money and then refer you to the ER only after waiting 4 hrs to be seen by them first! Go to UNC or duke.

Also want to add that the doctor didn’t even want to give me a treatment the RN asked him too. I mean Really??? Never will I go back to them! This was the Urgent care in Mebane

Absolutely freaking terrible. I wouldn’t go back to this place even if I was dying. I had to go to the ER one night after the Urgent Care had already closed.(I had swallowed a pill that got stuck in my throat that I couldn’t get out). I got there at about 10:30PM and was immediately seen by a nurse who got everything charted for me and took my vitals. I was told I needed to get scans, so I was taken back right away. While he was lining up the x-ray machine, the tech asked me, «So what was this, a sorority stunt?». I gave him a weird look and said no, then he said«Man, when I was in college I wanted to be in a frat. Not for the friends and stuff, but so I could do all the stupid shit.» Wow. REAL professional. Once the scans were taken he took me back out to the waiting room. This is where the real fun began. I sat there from 11:00PM and wasn’t called back until 6:00AM. Then I wasn’t seen by a doctor until 7:00AM. Are you kidding me? I’m glad I wasn’t dying. I know I should have left, but I didn’t want to waste the time and money for the scans that were already done, plus I was scared about the pill being stuck. After I was finally seen by the doctor, he said my nurse should have my paperwork completed soon so I could leave. An HOUR later the nurse still hadn’t shown up. I looked into the hallway and stopped another nurse asking if it was ok to leave. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. Finally the nurse came in with my paperwork and I left that God awful place at 9:00AM. Ten hours to get in and out of an emergency room? ARE. YOU. FREAKING. KIDDING. ME. I don’t care I’ve chopped off a limb, I’m NEVER going back to that hell hole. I’ll drive the extra 30min. to Chapel Hill to go a real hospital.

Went to the urgent care near the outlets, my three year old was starting to get an ear infection and of course the first real sign was Saturday evening. Our pediatrician does not have Sunday hours. All in all, we were in and out in 45 minutes. Everyone was really nice and we picked up the prescription at Walmart.

I was surprised when my Durham-based and Duke– and UNC-affiliated surgeon told me that my procedure would be at Alamance Regional Medical Park’s Surgery Center in Mebane. And while I don’t know why he operates out of there, if he told me it was because of the facilty or the people, I would completely understand. Prior to surgery, communication with the center was totally painless. I was supposed to call for my arrival time the day before my procedure, but they called me instead because they were about to go into a meeting and didn’t want me to worry. The day of my surgery was a breeze, and everyone I dealt with(knowingly) was so, so pleasant. Kim, the receptionist was wide awake and friendly at 6:30 in the morning when I checked in; Heather, the nurse who was with me in pre-op did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable; and Lori, the nurse who was with me post-op was really accommodating and miraculously understood everything I said as I was just waking up from a doozy of a nap. My husband and mom were really comfortable in the waiting room. They had coffee, snacks, a TV and a lot of reading material. They were even offered word puzzle books! Even the most routine surgeries are scary on some level, but the team at Alamance Regional is so exceptional that patients don’t have much to worry about.
