I took my car in for an alignment as I had just purchased new tires. They called me within 30 minutes of dropping off the car, and informed me that the steering needed some repairs. I had figured that it would need some work. The gentleman quoted me two prices, one was for around 800.00, and the other was over 1000.00. I choked and told him I would have to fix it myself. All that to replace two ball joints and two tie rod ends. I went to pick the car up and they charged me 40.00. I was astounded, that is about what an alignment would cost and they did not fix anything! I shopped around, and found quality parts for only 230.00, and also found a competent mechanic to perform the repairs for 200.00 in labor. I actually expected to pay around 500.00 for repairs, but these guys are way out there on their parts and labor costs. I actually felt fleeced after I left.
