History

Established in 2007.

Cynthia Jewel started Face Painting as an art student at an all girls boarding school for fairs and festivals in the 80’s…and never stopped. It was a hobby that persisted through college, the births of her own wee ones, their preschool, grade school and even their high school events. until they approached college age. The countless hours logged volunteering for school and church events built the framework for the official launch of Face Paint Pittsburgh as a full time business in 2007.

Cynthia Jewel is an artist, avid reader & animal lover. When not in a stimulating crowd creating art on moving canvasses, you will find her at the Farm Studio. She will be working on future designs, a few commissioned art projects and laughing at the wit of her beloved husband Stephen while breathing deeply the scents of the country, horses, and fresh maple syrup!
