Have a mailbox here and every time I need to pick up certified mail I have to go to the back and ring door bell, After a long wait you get a rude respond from their customer service. It’s like you are bothering them asking for your Mail.

I submitted a paper card to have my mail forwarded while I was going to be away for an undetermined amount of time for a family member illness. A month later I still hadn’t received my forwarded mail, and lo an behold the letter carrier had never received it from the post office. Not cool, not efficient, not a good use of tax payer $.

I had a bad customer service experience today. A manager took a personal call on her iPhone while talking to me. It wasn’t just the phone interruption. The manager misidentified herself as being the manager over a different area until I wrote her name and title down in front of her. For a manager at a government office this is simply unacceptable. I was just asking a question about a delivery issue. The local delivery routed through this location has been problematic despite several nice chats with my letter carrier. I thanked her and left.
I would really like to give this location a higher rating. The service at the counter isn’t bad and everything else appears to be decent.

In and out in under 3 minutes. I came in within the last 20 minutes before closing I honestly was expecting a long line. Two registers were open and an employee assisting people in the line and checking out with her hand held machine she was very polite and helpful to me. I wish I could remember her name! Best post office experience I’ve EVER had.

Wow, I almost feel a little better seeing everyone else’s reviews here. I’m glad I’m not the only one who received horrible service. The woman I got at the counter was exceptionally rude; when I asked her to check to see if I’d filled out the customs form for my package correctly, she actually raised her voice at me. I’ve gotten poor service at post offices before, but I’ve never been made to feel this unwelcome and like being a customer there was an absolute burden on the clerk.
Two stars ONLY because the other workers present at the time seemed nice. If not, it would only be one.

I rarely do reviews but think the unbelievably lousy service at this office is worth reviewing. I requested forwarding service a month ago — two weeks before I needed it to start — through the USPS website. Received a confirmation notice the same day. I have still received NO forwarded mail despite a phone assurance two weeks ago that the forwarding process had begun. Called today to see what was wrong. Was put on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up. Called back. Mr. Kim, who answered, took my information. When I asked for confirmation that the forwarding was occurring, he laughed. I told him I wanted confirmation that the carrier was no longer delivering my mail and that the forwarding process had begun. He laughed again but said he would speak with the carrier. I asked him to call me back to confirm that this had occurred. He seemed to think this was odd but took my number and called me back. It appeared from this call that the carrier had never been informed of the need to stop delivering my personal mail and had continued to do so. I am now told that the forwarding will begin. Three weeks late.
Disorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful service.

It should be a privilege to be a civil servant and work for the USPS bc you literally can not be fired unless you are a criminal. The women behind the counter at the Mclean Post Office are the rudest, most inconsiderate, unfriendly, snots I have ever encountered in public service jobs. They should be trained to be polite and helpful and should earn their jobs like everyone else. They are simply mean machines and I hate doing any business here.

«Budu budu bu. whachu want?» is the greeting you will get here by the manager, as you’re seconds away from being assisted by a clerk that can actually assist you.
«Budu budu bu.»
What? There is a UPS store is down the street? oh thank God!

Okay, so here’s the skinny about this post office: it has a cool futuristic machine. This has become one of my favorite post offices due to this kick ass automated machine.
You can buy stamps, ship small and medium sized packages and other stuff while the post office is closed. Great if you can’t stop by during normal business hours or if you don’t have time to wait in line.
Be nice to this machine when you use it, pick ip your litter and don’t abuse it. Why? Well you can be considerate of other users by picking up your trash… but the real reason is just in case SkyNet becomes self aware and decides to wipe us humans out, this machine may remember your kindness.
Hey future robot overlords, this machine is my amigo. Ya hear?

This place is your typical post office. Cranky attendants, mailing supplies strewn about after hours, and a drop box that is always jammed. I do go here to do my package drop offs after work after selling items on eBay. However, due to the high traffic it can get sometimes due to its proximity to the McLean shopping center, I prefer to avoid it for counter operations. Then again, I prefer to avoid just about every post office for counter operations — but it’s a necessary evil I guess. Meh.

DO NOT GO HERE! they are rude and inconsiderate. I was there to buy 500 stamps and when i go to pay and hand them my credit card, which says «ask for ID» they are like, we dont accept that. I gave them another card that says the same thing and they said we accept checks and cash. i did not have enough cash and said, dont you need to check my ID if I give you a check??? either way, i walked out but will never go back again
