Synergy & Balance Massage

I was referred to Abe by a friend who said that he was the best and she was right! He really listened to the issues that were bothering me and was able to identify points to work on to help! I will definitely be back to see him and will refer him to my friends!

Abe is a consummate professional, and incredibly talented. Having just come out of the hospital, he was attentive and listened to my issues. This was my first deep tissue massage in many years, but definitely not my last. The stretching at the end was perfect for me, and I left feeling refreshed, and relaxed. I highly recommend Abe to anyone looking to de-​stress. His hours are very flexible, and his prices fair– worth every penny. See Abe, you will not be disappointed.

Before I went to Synergy & Balance, the best massage I had was on a cruise ship. I figured that I would not be able to find someone like that. However, after a very long flight to and from the Persian Gulf, I decided to arrange an appointment with him given the high ratings. Thank you, Unilocal,for another great find.
Abe is very skilled therapist. It is clear that he has mastered the techniques and knows how to loosen the toughest knots. I would add that he is a good conversationalist as well. The two hours went by quickly. I could not believe it when he told me that time was up. Rather than kick you out the door, he sat down and explained to me the issues with my shoulder. Needless to say, I did not hesitate to set up a follow on appointment.
I would highly recommend anyone to get a massage here.

Abe is fantastic. He uses what I would describe as a myofascial release style massage with stretching. This is different than the ‘massage oil, Swedish style’ –or just about any other type of massage that I’ve received (and I’ve been all over the world and experienced many different styles). I wish I had experienced the myofascial style sooner in my life. The movement of that tissue is a little intense while you’re on the table, but the muscle release both on the table and afterwards is lasting. There is no comparison with other massages I have received. This is hands down the most effective massage I have received. I am glad to see so many others commenters agree.
I have been to him twice and will go back –and will send my husband at some point. He’s professional and very respectful. As a woman, that goes a long way to making me feel comfortable.

This dude is weird. Stay far away. He has a weird technique where he massages you like a little old lady. He has a poor attitude. I would give him a 0 stars if I could.
My review stands. I have received messages from supposedly clients of him telling me I don’t know him. I visited his studio in McLean. He is tall, thin, glasses and I know exactly who he is.

Now I’d give you a zero star for trying to not accept a negative review. If I had a business and someone sent me a negative review Id apologize and try to learn from it, instead of trying to tell the readers you’ve not seen me before. I stick to my review. It would have been better if I had lost $ 100 and some lucky person found it. My neck pain has not shown any improvement and I’m still trying to find a decent therapist here in NOVA.

I had an amazing experience with Abe. I’m generally a tense nervous guy, but Abe has such a relaxing vibe and great energy. I will be recommending him to everyone I know!

I’m not surprised to see consistent five star reviews for Synergy and Balance. Abe is absolutely terrific.
Let me confess at the start that I’m apparently very picky about massage. I’ve been disappointed time and again, and when I was satisfied, I wasn’t satisfied enough to undertake regular sessions with anyone.
This afternoon I had a two hour deep tissue/​stretching session with Abe. I’ve never had an experience like it. He finds the problem areas and works them like a virtuoso. With massage and stretching, he pushes right to the limit (exactly where I wanted it) but never beyond. He maintains remarkably smooth and consistent pressure during deep strokes. He’s truly a consummate professional with extraordinary talent.
I live in Maryland and, yes, I’m one of those who avoids «crossing the river» at all costs. Abe is worth it. And as a bonus, I didn’t get lost on Chain Bridge Road! The space is very nice — spotless and comfortable. It’s in one of the buildings in an office park. Leave yourself five minutes to find the correct side of the building he’s in.

Abe was kind enough to fit me into his schedule when I explained to him that I was really uncomfortable and in need of some deep muscle work.
I was a new customer but he was most accommodating none-​the-​less
I thought that the waiting area and the massage room was very pleasant.
I found that Abe was very easy to talk with.
I had an hour long massage and now feel so much better.
I was very pleased with the entire experience.

I’ve had back pain for a long time now and, as a result, have seen numerous massage therapists. Abe is, by far, the best I have ever been to! His studio is comfortable and professional, and he is highly skilled and knowledgeable. I am so happy to have found him!

I haven’t had a massage in a few years, but I might as well never have had one before — all the other ones seem in retrospect more or less useless compared to the one given by Abe.
I had been exercising a lot in the few weeks before I saw Abe, and I was really stiff — so bad that some days I couldn’t even bend over. I was beginning to think that I needed to give up some of my favorite activities, or worse yet, this was just the way it was going to be…
I found Abe’s website and was impressed — check it out — and Abe found a time that worked best with my schedule.
There are two things that really stand out about my time with Abe. First, Abe spent time asking me several good questions before our session began, which helped him tailor the session to my needs. He did a combination of stretching and deep tissue, to address my specific issues. Second, he worked really hard the entire session — I felt like every moment I was on the table he was working with me and was focused on addressing my issues.
The next morning, I realized that I had much more flexibility and generally felt better.
I’ve been a member on Unilocal for almost 6 years now and rarely write a review, but felt after my experience I really needed to write a review, so others could benefit from his skills as well.

Hidden gem in mclean! One of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life. I suffer from chronic neck/​shoulder tightness due to stress and needed a massage asap! I’ve been a member of massage envy for several years, see the best osteopath in northern Virginia once a month and a chiropractor every other week… Found Abe/​Synergy and balance massage on Unilocal and he got me in within hours for a one hour massage. All I have to say is life changing. He is fixing things in my neck/​shoulders that I pay thousands of dollars a year for doctors to fix and correct. Not to mention after my session with him my neck and shoulders have felt fine! Good bye doctors bill… Hello synergy and balance massage twice a month!!! Just had my first massage with Abe and I was very impressed. Not only is he a genuinely nice guy, Abe is one of the best massage professionals I’ve ever been to. The deep tissue and stretching session targeted my pain points with just the right pressure. I felt so much better immediately after we were done that I knew I’d be back very soon. Great way to remove the pain after strenuous physical activity. Abe’s combo of deep tissue massage and stretching is effective at helping me recover from skiing and long bike rides. He is very professional and his office is in a convenient, quiet office park close to GW pkwy, 495 and Tysons Corner.

Abe is a great massage therapist. He is a true professional, and cares very much about what is bothering you. He is excellent with deep tissue massage and stretching. I left feeling like a new person. I will be back again soon for the relaxation massage.

Abe does amazing work and is very professional. Ask about the stretching and deep tissue work, he is very skilled at that. While a good Swedish massage isn’t super hard to find, the deep tissue and myofascia therapy take much more skill. Abe is also very respectful and makes sure you will feel comfortable. The office is very nice and while it is in McLean, VA, his skills make it worth the drive from Montgomery County.

Wow, great massage. I haven’t felt this limber in years! If your muscles need a good stretching, there likely is no better than Abe. I live in DC, but he’s definitely worth the trek across the dreaded bridge to VA. Don’t worry, he’s inside the Beltway. Northern VA friends, you have no excuse. Go. You’ll thank me later. :)
