I have nothing but great things to say about this store and my very personal interaction with Ms. Fariba Jahanbani. I have been Ms. Jahanbani’s client since 1998, and ever since I met her, I have only purchased my Cartier watches through her. She provides you with a top-​notch personal service, understands your taste and demands, and basically provides you with the best quality of service.
I remember last year, where she went beyond the line of duty to help me out, for a gift i wanted to purchase for my girl friend. No stores in the vicinity of Miami/​Boca/​West Palm Beach/​DC and VA had that Item and i needed it on a certain date/​time for her graduation! Oh boy, did she come true or what! She amazed me on how quickly she got the hold of the product and shipped me to me over night, and saved my life :)
She Stands out between all the fashion advisers I have seen and definitely has made the store in Tyson’s Corner, my corner! I have followed her from the time she was at Cartier in Chevy Chase to present time at Tyson’s…and even if she goes and opens a store in Africa, I will travel there and will buy only through her!

Absolutely terrible customer service.
We bought a new Cartier roadster from a reputable jeweler in NY because this watch was not currently in stock locally. The two sales women we encountered at the Cartier, tysons galleria location were discourteous to put it very mildly.
After waiting endlessly then being asked to return in an hour after a minor link adjustment we payed and left. The watch then started to come open and the clasp needed adjustment, I went to the store today and was met with an incredibly rude sales person who said we absolutely can not help you. I left incredulous and disappointed in the treatment I received as someone who is a watch collector used to excellent customer care in reputable stores. I see I’m not alone in having a horrible experience here.

My husband and I are real Cartier customers, with real, substantial purchases from around the world. I have my watch serviced through them, and I have had my band size-​adjusted. It is sheer torture for me to enter the Tysons store because of the condescending attitude I have to face here. Just this past holiday season, I entered the store with my sister-​in-​law who inquired about a particular piece and also asked about the perfume. The French-​accented sales associate said to her, «I don’t know what you’re asking. If you want information, go to Saks.» In other words, if you’re not going to buy anything «get out of this store and stop wasting my time.» She didn’t recognize my sister-​in-​law, but holy cow, if she only knew. On the other hand, my husband walks in and is surrounded by salivating sales associates who think they’ve got a «live one» in the store. So, to Kevin and Lloyd and the other men who have such great experiences: good for you, but you’re not the norm.

Have been considering a gift for a ten year anniversary for several months now and settled on a love bracelet. But will head to NY to get this because this store is just so completely horrible with customer service. Or, will go with something from another retailer all together because I am SO turned off by the people who work at Cartier Tysons. I bought a watch in the Paris store and had it fixed when I lived in NYC. Both experiences were wonderful and the sale person couldn’t have been more helpful.

Stay clear of Janine Dewey. She is a very snide, pompous, crass, and abominable sales associate you will ever come across. Her tone is very patronizing and disrespectful. She does not know how to sell.
I have come to visit twice looking at wedding bands. The first experience was no different than the second. Today, I asked to see a couple wedding bands. This time she did ask when the wedding was. I said in less than a year. So she responds to say that that is too far away and unnecessary to try on rings. Do you want me to be a customer or not woman? Do you realize that this is an investment? So I couldn’t help but say with a smile and bitch face remark — yep but it never hurts to look, right. So she responded saying that there will be more styles (sure thing lady, I’m sure there will) and that I could loose some weight in general (because I’m already skinny enough — what a retarded thing to say).

I am a dogmatic researcher. I research to the point of obsession before I buy anything. That being said, I have seen many adverse reviews for this location prior to my going there. My experience was not bad at all. I have 2 favorite Cartier SA’s and Ida Patrossian at the Tyson’s Galleria location is one of them. Laurel and Pia are great too. I went in on my birthday (in march) to purchase a love bracelet. Prior to actually going in i emailed the store a few times. Each time they responded almost immediately and were very helpful. My experience in the store was even better. My good friend had been in the store previously, as well, and referred me to Ida. Ida was absolutely wonderful she made me feel valued and at home, as did Laurel. They were both very genuine and very helpful. I even left the the store with a hug. I purchased a pink gold love bracelet which they sent to me, as they did not have my size in the store. when i got it in the mail a couple days later i decided i wanted yellow gold. I exchanged it at the chevy chase location, because they had my size in the store. my experience there was a little less rosy, but that review will go on their page. Anyway, a couple days later, i noticed there was a price drop of 300 $. I emailed the Tyson’s location since they were on the original receipt and the gave me a store credit for the difference without hesitation. Needless to say Tyson’s will be my location of choice from now on and I would recommend it to anyone in the DMV area… hopefully i can get some of that delicious champagne that i have heard so much about. but thats another story.

Just came back from my honeymoon in Paris. We visited the Cartier location on Champs Elysées and were blown away by the level of customer service we received in that store as two young Americans. We didn’t go in there and spend thousands of dollars yet they could not have possibly treated us any better.
And then there’s this store. Do yourself a favor, and visit the Friendship Heights location if you need to go to Cartier in this area. You will undoubtedly get better customer service than what the woman at this location provides.
Take your patience be prepared to wait a while to be helped and when you finally are, you’ll be treated like a second class citizen that does not have any right or reason to be visiting Cartier. This lady needs a healthy dose of reality. You work at Cartier and the people who come into your stores are the customers, there to shop, or just look as they please. If you don’t like this, then you need to find something better to do with your life.

I don’t know why everyone is posting such negative reviews, I’ve always been treated greatly every time I’ve been here.
I came in the store looking for a ring a while back, but I literally went in to the store pretty frequently because I wasn’t sure what I wanted, and every time I was greeted by Ms. Papachristos. She’s super sweet and when I went in once with my mom, she helped me try on the ring that I wanted and then helped me find the right size. Unfortunately I didn’t buy it that day, but I came in to the store later with my dad and she helped me try it on and he even looked at some rings too. She talked to us for a long time and we laughed and had fun, but I wasn’t sure if I really wanted the ring so I still didn’t get it. At this point, I expected her to be annoyed with us, but when I came into the store a month or so later, she remembered both my name and my dad’s name AND my ring size and the exact one that I was looking at last time. We ended up buying it that day, but when I got home it started to feel a bit loose on me, so I went back the next day and she helped me exchange it for a smaller size. She’s been super helpful and always kept a smile on her face, and the other associates were always polite and greeting me and smiling too.
I recently went back to purchase a juste un clou bracelet, and although Ms. Papachristos wasn’t there I was helped by another great associate.

I have had the pleasure of shopping with Fariba at both the Chevy Chase and Tysons Galleria stores for over 20 years. Although she is the Regional Director, you would never know it as she has no airs about her. Whether I was shopping for a pen or a watch I was treated with the same patience and care. She has always gone above and beyond to find me the piece I wanted even if it was unavailable in her store and worked tirelessly until I received it. It didn’t stop there. Post-​purchase she would check in to see how I or my friends and family were enjoying the gifts. Fariba and her team are a class-​act and I look forward to continuing to enjoy the wonderful experience of shopping with them.

I’m not one to write reviews and barely look at them, and only find myself on a Unilocal page looking at food pics from restaurants and the number of a business, however today, I visited the Tyson’s store. I can say first hand the customer service is still horrible and has not changed from the previous reviews. To keep it short visit the Chevy Chase location. I purchased my love bracelet from there years ago and went in recently and the SA still recognized me. I wear daily at least 20K in Cartier pieces that I don’t remove and today in the Tyson’s store and dressed very fashionable I must say, I was treated like a second class citizen. From the over baring security guard, who at one point almost moved towards me when I went in my bag to take out my credit card, to one of the sales associates who made some comment to a client she was helping about me. It was not a pleasant experience and I will be driving to the king of Prussia store, as the item I need is in stock there, after I myself called the 800 number and inquired about, because I need the gift Monday. It to this day amazes me how sales associates and security guards and can judge and here you are buying and wearing pieces that cost more than there weekly pay checks. I am young, African American, so I guess or what I’ve come up with is that, because there in the position there in #theshopgirl, #thestatue, I’m some how suppose to not be in the position I’m in #theshopper. At any rate, I’ll continue taking my business to Chevy Chase or letting my guy get my pieces from the store in his location. Perhaps I should wear a shirt with my name, saying check my customer profile!!!

I know that this specific location has received a number of negative reviews for years, but New staff and better management have improved the situation.
Shopping is not just about the items you purchase, it is the caliber of service and the ambience of the boutique. Maison Cartier in the Galleria at Tyson’s exemplifies personalized service, in a comfortable environment, with a selection that is second to none.
Ms. Papachristos remembered my wife and me immediately upon entry and invited us to take a seat, while offering refreshments; thus emphasizing that we were guests in the «House of Cartier,» and not merely clients.
She complimented me on the Movado watch I wore, which led to a pleasant discussion of travel, since my wife had presented me with the Movado as a gift on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago. Of course, that led us back to the subject of watches, and the purpose of our visit.
Ms. Papachristos stepped away for a moment and returned with the watch she had reserved for me, an exquisite example of the Cartier Tank.
Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917. His inspiration came from the sleek design of the new Renault tanks. Cartier had seen them in use on the Western Front during World War I. He presented the prototype watch to General John Pershing of the American Expeditionary Force. It has come to define military strength and precision craftsmanship, hence my desire to own one.
Of course, one need not be a military veteran to own one, a simple desire for a clean aesthetic and the reliability of a Swiss watch, will suffice. Yves Saint Laurent, Jacqueline Kennedy and Princess Diana owned versions of the Cartier Tank. Visit the Cartier Tyson’s Boutique, ask for Ms. Papachristos, and you may own one too.

This store SUCKS. The customer service will make you go crazy.

Wow! I feel so much better after reading these awful reviews! I thought I was the only one who felt mistreated, underappreciated and like gum on someone’s shoe.
We were just at David Yurman and we received great service while looking at engagement rings. So I’ve always loved the design of Cartier for wedding bands that are chunky yet elegant and walked in to experience… well…
There was 1 security guard and 1 sales associate (probably the female associate that everyone keeps referring to in their reviews) and I was the only person in the whole store and I didn’t even get greeted! So finally after walking around aimlessly, she decided to look up and ask do you need help? I asked about wedding bands and she pointed me over to the counter on the other side of the store. She eventually walked over and as I pointed to about 3 bands I was interested in looking at, she pulled them out of the case and then put them on herself. She did not want me to put them on my fingers. WTF? What is this!!! She treated me like trash and that I wasn’t good enough to try on any Cartier rings.
I think it’s a shame that the reviews are this bad and a manager hasn’t reached out to any customers to rectify the poor customer service everyone received. Just because it’s a Cartier store doesn’t give you the right to mistreat people. A potential customer could become a lifetime customer until something like this happens, then you lose that customer.

We didn’t receive the abominable service that others seemed to have had at this location, but there is a higher level of expectation from an established high-​end name like Cartier. I felt that the service at this location did not meet this standard.
We walked in here a couple of times looking for wedding bands. They didn’t have the one that we liked in our size, and we asked if it would be possible to have it brought in so we can see how it looks on our fingers before handing over our credit card. The sales associate told us that while this would be possible for diamond rings, we would have to pre-​pay with only the possibility of exchange for store credit to have wedding bands brought in.
Now, I’m not saying that she should have overlooked store policy for us – but I felt like she could have at least asked a manager or made some sort of effort. Our wedding was only a couple weeks off, and in all likelihood, we wouldn’t even have had time to change our minds – we just wanted a little peace of mind. She said that she would check to see if the rings were even in stock in our sizes, and returned saying that they were not, and she couldn’t order them for us anyway.
This may still not be a two-​star review if the experience didn’t so starkly contrast with our experience at the Cartier store at Friendship Heights. The sales associate located the rings in our sizes. She agreed to have them shipped over without us pre-​paying, even though we were talking on the phone and she hadn’t as much seen our faces. The rings arrived within three business days, and she had the couriered to my apartment in DC within a couple of hours so that we wouldn’t have to pay sales taxes.
After our positive experience at the Friendship Heights location, I couldn’t help but wonder, did the lady at Tysons just not want to sell us the rings?

The service here is beyond horrible. Why spend money for abuse? We should have known it was bad when we saw one of the sales associates napping on the desk when we walked in.

Customer service here sucks. I also think they need more staff to greet/​help people. I didn’t feel very welcome because no one acknowledged me when I walked in.

Only my mother would walk into Cartier and tell the sales associate that «this bracelet looks CHEAP».
But then, only an inept sales associate would hand my mother (or anyone, for that matter), a slim (and obviously feminine) «unisex» bracelet when we specifically told her that we were looking for something for my brother.
We couldn’t get her to show us anything else (because in the whole store there is only just that ONE bracelet and NOTHING else).
So we walked out.
Boo Cartier… BOO. You broke my mother’s 16 year streak where she has never walked out of a Cartier’s without a red box in hand. Boo.

Fantastic jewelry with abominable service. I bought my wife’s wedding band in the St. Louis store in 2001, and took it to the McLean boutique when it needed some very minor repair work. It took two months to get it back, only to find that the work hadn’t been done. It turns out the person at the store filled out the repair ticket wrong. We sent it back again, and after 5 weeks we still haven’t heard anything. Along the way we’ve had multiple sales people give us the run-​around, fail to return phone calls, and fail to follow up with the repair people in NYC. There is no doubt that the quality of the jewelry is fantastic, but it shouldn’t take 91+ days to tighten a stone! Next time I want to buy something nice I’ll go down the street to Tiffany’s (who, by the way, have always provided fantastic service).
