My husband and I had a great experience working with Erik in the McLean store a few months ago. We needed a quick turnaround on our rings, and Erik was very patient with us to make sure we were getting what we wanted in a timely manner. We love our rings and have gotten lots of compliments on them. There is also something very special about having such important pieces of jewelry come from a local family-​owned business. The quality and customer service cannot be beat. We will definitely go back to Boone & Sons for future jewelry.

I had a quick question and even though they didn’t make any business, young Boone gave me some great honest advice that saved a couple of hundred dollars. Now that’s the kind of customer service I admire. If I ever need to get any jewelry or jewelry repairs, this place is going to get my business!
BTW– new branch in Old Chain Bridge Rd, McLean is a great convenient location. Beats having to go to a big mall, fight traffic and hassle for a parking space.

Stopped into Boone & Sons on my way home from visiting Tiffany’s & Lilenquist in Tysons. Had a great experience and Boone actually had a greater selection than either of the larger boutiques. Prices were extremely competitive and beautiful pieces.
Maureen was extremely helpful and low pressure. I look forward to stopping in again soon.

I have only had one experience with these people but it was such a good one that I wanted to share it.
Of course, they are a retail jeweler, but I so happened to come in during their August sale of 50% off It was our anniversary and I did not have a clue what to buy. The staff was extremely helpful, helping me narrow it down to a few choices they thought I would really love. I took alot of time to get it right and they were patient every step of the way. They promised that if I didn’t like it when I got home I could exchange it for something else. This was much better than previous visits to jewelry shops in Tyson’s mall.
Well, I chose a pair of earings with different type pearls in them and was totally pleased. Definitely would recommend them as a top jeweler.

We all know how store staff welcome you when you are buying and turn snotty when you want to sell. Not so at Boone and Sons where staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful no matter why you walk in. Erik Boone is the most patient and thoughtful person I could wish for, taking the time and giving me explanations every time as though I’m a prized customer. I’ve sold various items of jewelry, from scraps to more consequent, several times, always getting the best price possible (I have gone to several other jewelers, more than once, just to see what they offered – always a fraction of what Erik gave me, plus the coldness.) Great, great people and lovely store.

A wonderful family owned store with absolutely fabulous jewelry. The staff including Erik Boone are extremely helpful whether you’re buying new jewelry or taking something in to get fixed. I’ve been coming here for years and can’t imagine buying or takings jewelry anywhere else.

I’ve taken a number of items to Boone Jewelers for repair work or appraisals. The staff is somewhat reserved, but unfailingly polite and very forthright and knowledgeable about the business. I’m confident in their ability to do the work correctly, in a timely manner and at what I feel is a very reasonable cost. Would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience buying our wedding and engagement rings here. The quality of my diamonds are fantastic, and the price was very fair. We have since recommended several friends to them as well.
However, recently I had a not so great experience which is why I am giving them 3 stars instead of 5. We just moved about 25 miles away and no longer work in the area as well. I needed to have my rings cleaned and soldered together, but was having a really difficult time getting out there during their normal business hours. I called and explained my situation and asked if they knew of anyone closer to me that could do this and was told «No.» I then asked if I made the trip out on a Saturday, if they could at least do it while I waited, and was told to call in advance to see how busy they were.
It was a completely different customer service experience from when we had purchased our rings and I was really disappointed. I had every intention of continuing to give them my business for future purchases, until now. I did not expect them to be so unhelpful about something that takes 20 minutes to do and costs less than $ 40.
If you are looking for a place to give you good service for the initial purchase, I would recommend them. However, don’t expect the same level of service if you need to have something done to the piece later on.

My boyfriend and I took my grandmother’s 2 ct marquis diamond into the store and asked them to turn it into something that I would want to wear on my finger for the rest of my life. I can’t possibly express how happy I am with the job that they did. The ring is breathtaking — it’s just perfect. Erik Boone helped us and answered all of our ridiculous questions so thoroughly and patiently. I left so nervous because I had told him so many different things that I wanted and an equal number of things that I hated, and he literally made the perfect ring — he didn’t miss a thing. I couldn’t be happier!

Went to Boone & Sons to either resize or upgrade my engagment/​wedding rings after 8 years of marriage. I decided to use Boone & Sons because my original engagement ring was from the shop. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Boone who was friendly, listened to my preferences and helped me find exactly what I wanted.
I left the store with my new wedding band on my finger (simple platinum band), perfectly sized. The new engagement setting will take a little time to complete but I am to get an update on its status on this coming Tuesday.
I had nothing but a wonderful experience with Mr. Boone.
