History

Established in 1989.

Architectural Design Studio (ADS), an award winning firm, was founded in 1989 by Mr. Ghorbanian, a registered architect since 1989 who has worked on local, national, & international projects. He believes in teamwork and enjoys a hands-​on approach for maintaining quality design in architecture.

Business Owner

Architectural Design Studio was founded by S. Michael Ghorbanian in 1989. Mr. Ghorbanian has years of varying architectural experience. He has worked for several large firms as the lead architect and project manager on government, commercial and institutional projects. In 1989 he accepted a faculty position at the Northern Virginia Community College teaching and managing the Architecture and Engineering program. He also started a small architectural practice designing residential and light commercial projects. He believes design and production is a collaborative effort and for that, ADS does not bear any one’s name and is simply referred to as Architectural Design Studio.
