The Home Depot

I have been at this store almost every day for the last week and a half. I have heard about how friendly people are here in Texas and this place is a testament to that statement. Customer Service have been cheerful and helpful. Staff approach you if you look lost or have a question and point you in the right direction. They stop what they are doing to help you out or if they have a customer, they do come back to you. Special mention to Joseph and Jose who have been so helpful with what I need/​why I visit Home Depot. This is my go to Home Depot even if this is not the closest to my house, this is where I go!

I’m usually at this Home Depot every week to do some sort of home repair or renovation. All Associates are very helpful as soon as I step foot in the store. I would never get that type of service at Lowes. I usually know what I need to purchase but finding the items are sometimes a challenge since the store is so large. The Associates are knowledgeable and helpful in each department. Also, I think having maturer Associates work at Home Depot is a plus. They have a good sense of what good customer service is more so than younger employees in their 20’s who usually don’t like to be bothered if you have questions. It’s just a different generation, what can you do.
This Home Depot is a Winner.

Its just like any other Home Depot. You can definitely find almost anything you need. I just think they need to check their inventory more often as I needed a microwave and the one the wife wanted was out. We ended up purchasing the same one from Sears.

Great store! Clean and organized. Every time I come here I find what I need. The door guy is awesome! Always in a great mood and willing to help. Have been hit or miss on knowledge with associates sometimes but come on it’s not a contractor that works there so I can deal with it. I’ll keep this store my number 1.

Love this store! I can always get advice on how to fix or replace things in my house. Recently, I had to replace a moen cartridge in my shower and Lourdes in plumbing was so nice and helpful explaining and showing me how I can do this. She totally saved me hundreds of dollars because I didn’t have to hire a plumber!

Frustrating experience with attempting to schedule a garage door opener installation. In the store, there is a LOT of point of purchase signage regarding «installation Available». It was the reason I even thought of Home Depot when we needed to replace a broken down opener. However, in the store I was directed to different desks on opposite sides of the store MULTIPLE times. Then I was finally told «call this number». Hmmm, mildly annoying. I then called that number and they told me they don’t do it, call the store. I called the store and spent a lot of time on hold, then giving info to someone who ended up not being able to handle it. Got transferred back up to the service desk. ONLY when I protested did he even take the down the info for the install. We’ll see if I ever actually get a call back to schedule it. I attempted to use the info on my receipt to fill in their online survey. Guess what, it didn’t work! I’m now far beyond mildly annoyed. I think I just became a loyal Lowes shopper.
Custer Rd McKinney Manager — you really need to get a handle on this issue. Would have loved to use your internal non-​public process to alert you to this. But, it didn’t work.

Go to this one! Read my poor review on the 75 Location. This store is the difference between night and day! Good team of employees that actually seem happy to help you!

They have what you need. If not try Lowes, as both stores carry different items. I am glad to have both nearby!
You need to watch their installers, as in my earlier review, some are less than honest and will cut corners at your expense.
Staff seems knowledgeable and eager to help. Several asked If I needed their help.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Couple employees were super sweet to my toddler looking at Christmas tree lights.
Not 5 stars because I searched and searched for the dollies and had no luck. I don’t like being harassed for help, but when you see me walk by repeatedly, please stop me and help. Dollies are apparently outside. Didn’t think to look there.
Organized and clean store and a good price on my dolly!
And I LOVE that they allow pets in their stores!

This is, without a doubt, one of the WORST Home Depots that I have been to, and I’ve been to many.
There is a CONSTANT problem with not being able to get help here. One time, I found someone to help me, and WHILE SHE WAS HELPING ME, another employee came and took her away. I walked around the corner, and they were just standing there talking! I said «Nevermind the customer trying to get help», and they just shrugged and gave deer-​in-​the-​headlight looks.
If I DO get someone here to help me, they don’t know ANYTHING. I don’t need a partner in confusion, I need HELP. I can stare at the shelves by myself, I don’t need to run around with you GUESSING at where it might be. I have bought products at another Home Depot, then come to this one at another time, and have everyone scratch their head like they never heard of such an item.
I just got hung up on 6 times in a row, by two different employees. This is what prompted me to review this place. It’s ALWAYS a fiasco here, with the customer have ZERO priority.
I get MUCH better service at the one in NORTH PLANO!
With the problems being so rampant at this store, I chalk it up to WEAK MANAGEMENT.
I have to add, there is ONE GUY IN THE TILE/​FLOORING AREA THAT KNOWS WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT, but I can’t recall his name.

We came to Home Depot because Calloway’s was out of Blue rug Juniper. Home Depot had what we were looking for, but after talking to a sales associate we ended up purchasing a different ground covering. The sales associates were friendly and helpful. They even gave us plenty of plastic to put down in our car so it wouldn’t get potting soul all over it.

Devin in garden made lawn care super easy. Took time to explain the whole process and everything I would need.

Didn’t have the product I was looking for, and I got nothing more than a shoulder shrug when I asked about it. Took me literally stopping someone to ask for help to get anyone to even acknowledge me as I walked through the store.
