N & K Appliance Service

So. .. I’m updating this only to say that it’s almost 4 months after the initial visit by this company and my freezer STILL isn’t fixed. You have to stay on them CONSTANTLY. Last time they were here (which occurred a month after they said they would return with the new part in a few days) they didn’t have the part and said they would order it and it (yes, you guessed it) would be here in a few days. Fast forward another month and after several phone calls they scheduled the installation for today. It’s 5:30 pm and I’ve called them 5 times today and haven’t heard from them. Between this company and American Home Shield, it’s a miracle I haven’t lost my mind. Both companies should be shut down.

Our washer broke and they came out and fixed it right away. Saved us from having to buy a new one right before Christmas! They also came and fixed ore refrigerator before!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My review echos what everyone else has already said. They NEVER answer the phone. I had an appointment and took the afternoon off of work for them to come to my house and even after talking with Neil twice that day where he promised the tech was on his way, the service guy never showed up. Then after leaving multiple voice messages and even attempting to text, no calls were returned. Once I actually got in touch with Neil, he was nasty to me saying that I’d never called, they have phone system problems, etc, etc. The only problem they have is a complete lack of customer service. I wouldn’t recommend anyone bother making a call to this company. Call someone who will actually be considerate of your time!

I have had the exact same experience as the other reviewers who were referred to this company through American Home Shield. I made a service request on May 19^th. They came, misdiagnosed the problem, took my money, and told me they would be in touch. No one EVER answers the main phone line– or returns voicemails.
I finally received a call in August (almost 3 months later) to schedule a follow up and no one showed up for the appointment. I called, left voicemails, no one ever called me back. I contacted American Home shield two weeks later (ample time for the company to check their voicemails) and filed a complaint. I finally get a call and they deny ever receiving my voicemails and state they were under the impression the work was finished. It’s almost September and I still can’t use my broken cooktop.
Do not use this company. I can’t trust a company that doesn’t answer their phone.

My experience with N&K has been consistent with the experience other people have reported. American Home Shield assigned N&K to my service request.
The technician missed the service window but did eventually show up at 9pm. They needed parts but I didn’t hear anything from them for a few weeks. Every time you call nobody answers and when I do get a call its outside their office hours. After weeks of trying to get someone on site they finally said someone would be there on a Friday in the afternoon. The technician never showed up. They were supposed to come before Thanksgiving but I called to cancel a few days prior because I couldn’t get off work to be there; they still sent someone anyways. Then the technician said they’d schedule to come on a weekend; haven’t heard anything.
I suspect this is a side business being ran out of someone’s house in off hours since you can’t get ahold of them during business hours and when you do they have a very rigid schedule on when someone can show up.
I’m just going to buy the parts and do the repair myself or buy a new appliance. This is beyond ridiculous. It shouldn’t take months to get a repair done. I’m in the process of trying to get a refund from AHS and will see where that leads me.

I have not had a good experience with this company at all! If you have a choice to go with another company, I think you will be happy you did! I have been waiting for a month now for them to fix my dishwasher. They ordered a part. It was the wrong one. The technician said he would find the correct part locally and come the next day to fix it. It is now 9 days later and I cannot even get anyone to tell me if they have ordered a new part or not. They do not return my calls and the one time the receptionist did, she said she would call me back to let me know. No surprise, she didn’t. I wish AHS warranty company would be more choosy about the companies they work with.

This company is as close to worthless as any service provider I’ve ever seen. After a month of missed appointments (over 5 four hour wait periods) and false promises, we still do not have the issues with our oven or dishwasher fixed. There serviceman had the biggest attitudes from the get-​go. I’m convinced part of the problem is the warranty company, American Home Shield, who we made the claim through. But there is no excuse for bad attitudes and missed appointments. Deal with N&K at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

We worked with Steve, and he was great. He took our call on a Sunday, on a holiday weekend! We described our fridge problems over the phone, and he was able to diagnose the issue. Steve came out the next day and fixed the problem in very little time at all, and I wasn’t subjected to waiting around the house all day! He arrived exactly when he said he would. Polite, professional, reasonably priced, and knowledgable are just a few adjectives I would use to describe C & S. we will certainly use this company again.
