A McKinney staple for many years. I’ve grown up eating here, and it’s the best pizza buffet you can find. A little pricey, but the pizza is great. Bacon Cheeseburger and Chicken Bacon Ranch are two of my favorites. Can’t go wrong with peperoni either!

We ordered Pizza tonight from Jim’s Pizza in McKinney based on all the 5-star reviews on Unilocal.Guess what — the 5-star reviews are«right on». Heck, I’d give them 6-stars if it was available. The Pizza was by far the best I’ve had in a long time and the cheese bread was also great. The service was very good and the prices are very reasonable. I will be a frequent customer.

I have eaten pizza all over the country. This is hands down my favorite pizza joint. The pizza gets better every time we order! Do yourself a favor and add a large cheese bread to your order! Crazy good!!!

I really did want to like this place but I just couldn’t get past the fact that the pizza was on par with Totino’s

My husband and I are both in love with Jim’s pizza here in McKinney. When my husband first wanted wanted me to try his favorite childhood pizza I was a little worried when we pulled up. All that those worries faded away when I bit in to one of the most delicious pizza’s I’ve ever had in my life. This pizza has a lot of flavor and is loaded with toppings. Love it!

Great little local pizza buffet. Lots better than say Cici’s or Gatti’s, but probably a step down from a wood-fired brick oven, gourmet shop. Price is reasonable and in line with the value. Staff is friendly, courteous and works to please. They use good, flavorful cheese. The premixed Italian salad option on the salad bar is my family’s favorite.

Pizza was really good. Waitress was nice. I just wish she didn’t try to push the salad bar so much. We had to tell her no 3 times. Also the manager and one of the employees were arguing over the drawer being short. Seemed a little odd to me.

We ordered to go and were not disappointed. The pizza box was one of the heaviest my husband and I had ever held. They were not stingy on the toppings(Tina’s combination I believe?) and it was some of the best pizza we’d ever had! And reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back!

Great buffet. Pizza is yummy and they have the absolute best ranch ever! I also really enjoy their garlic toast and wings. It’s got a very made at home taste.

This review is based on their pizza buffet during lunch. Thin crust, warm, and fresh pizza. Limited selection of salad but I’m fine with that. I’m a fan!

My parents were in town from Chicago. Being from Chicago, we know good pizza. I found Jim’s after checking out reviews on Unilocal. We ordered a large sausage, green pepper, and mushroom pizza. When I opened the box, all I saw was sausage! Hardly any sauce or cheese. The crust was thin, but good. The only positive I could find was the fact that their delivery was quick and effortless. Most likely will not order from there again… Unless it is an all-cheese pizza.

Best Pizza, is it gourmet, no, but great pizza. Why, thin crust, they will make you what you want also, just ask, very little grease, and fresh. They always have spaghetti, and then on some nights they do wings and other nights lasagna. Salad bar is good, not extensive, but really good. And you can’t beat the price. They have soft serve yogurt and pudding and desert pizza. Great for kids, they don’t gouge you for kids to eat.

Before i get further I to the review let me say I have been going to Jim’s since I was a kid(only a few years old). I’m 31 now and for the most part the same faces have been behind the counter from then til now. Very friendly and I feel like I’m visiting my family when I go. The restaurant used to be closer to the Mckinney square on Tennessee St. There used to be a jukebox and some arcade games. Several years ago they relocated to the former Pizza Hut building on University Dr. I personally prefer pizza that has a thinner crust and that’s why I love Jim’s. The crust isn’t so thick and fluffy that I feel like I’m eating breadsticks. Instead, what you get is a pizza that has tons of flavor and is crisp. They make a wide variety of pizza and keep the buffet going at a good pace. They have a bacon, cheddar ranch pizza, supreme, hawaiian, pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, pepperoni, canadian bacon and just about any other kind of pizza you can think of. There are several types of desert pizza as well. For sides you can get spaghetti(I love their sauce… Even if it is from a can), lasagna, garlic bread and a salad. They have ice cream for afterwords and the kids can grab a sucker from the counter on the way out. I have found that the best restaurants aren’t fancy. Hole in the wall places are the best because of the friendly atmosphere and unique food! If you have never been to Jim’s I highly recommend it but do not expect a gourmet restaurant here. Only a good old fashioned pizza buffet.

I’m really sorry but… don’t like it. The place is hopping, obviously a well-loved spot with locals. But it’s pretty much just a fast food style pizza buffet. Crappy salad, crappy pizza. BUT… it’s still a pizza buffet, so if you want to support local business, go here over say, a Cici’s.

We hit Jim’s again tonight. It was just incredibly good. Clean, great food and good service for a reasonable price. If you want pizza, just go to Jim’s, in my opinion, it’s the best in town by far

Been eating Jim’s Pizza my whole life. Always has been one of my favorites. Awesome crust and great sauce to cheese to toppings ratio. Friendly staff and great desserts as well. Best price for buffet in town.
