Pretty typical for what you would expect from a tite shop. I liked that they did not try to up sell. Service was quick.

I had a tire that was going flat, but they said they couldn’t repair. They didn’t have the tire in stock, so they had to order one. They even offered to put a loaner tire on so I wouldn’t be stranded until the new one came in. I called to make sure it was coming in on time and happened to call before they were open — the manager, Keith, answered the phone and helped me anyway! The tire came in on time and they got me fixed up right away! Very happy!

I had run over a nail and had a gash in a tire and losing air so went to Discount Tire at 380⁄75. I went in of an evening and they were very busy. It would be an hour wait. I instead made plans to driop my car off the next day. They didn’t try to oversell me tires. I ended up getting four new tires that were on sale. The people at the counter were all very courteous and helpful. I had them put air in that tire as it was losing air. I dropped it off the next day, they called me when it was ready. I did not buy the tire insurance. The next evening when I got home, I see a big nail sticking out of the side of my rear tire. Of course it’s Sat night. Monday morning I drop it off again and leave them a phone message. They called me back once they opened and told me that because the nail was on the side, they couldn’t plug it. I would need a new tire. «Great, I’m thinking» They then said they would replace the tire free of charge. They didn’t have anymore of that tire but would find one. By the end of the day, they had completed the work and I left with the tire replaced. They didn’t have to replace it for free, esp since i didn’t buy the insurance… but they did. I was very impressed with not only that but the general atmosphere of the place is very friendly. Great customer service! I would highly recommend Discount Tire-McKinney.

Kerry at this location went above and beyond to help me with two slow leak tires when I was in the middle of running errands with my 7 month old. He quick patched and filled up the tires after checking me in so I could safely run an errand during the long wait. He knew my name the entire time and continued to give me updates. For a task that is never fun, he made it easier.

My wife had a flat tire right near the store. I switched it out for the spare and called them. They told me to bring the car in to get it fixed. They offered to fix the puncture and rotate my tires for free. The waiting room was clean, and I got to watch a number of interactions between employees and different clients. I am quite impressed with the level of service. they all seemed genuinely happy to be doing their job and eager to be helping their customers. Their staff is clearly well trained, professional, and courteous. They then informed me that they could not fix the tire, as it was too old(degraded). I told them I would take it to the shop where I bought the tires, and they should still be under warranty. Five minutes later, the guy from the back came out and apologized, stating that he had been trying to fix the spare tire instead of the punctured tire in the trunk, and that they would be able to fix the tire for me after all. This seems to have been some miscommunication between the guy at the desk in the guy in the shop, as I had specifically told him that I had taken the tire off and put the flat one in the trunk. So overall good service, but some time wasted due to miscommunication.

It’s never ideal to deal with a slowly leaking tire but overall I had a good experience here. This is the first tire place where I’ve been greeted and met in the parking lot while walking into the establishment and when my car was complete, it was pulled up to the door and ready for me just to get in and drive away. Great customer service. The waiting area was clean, lots of chairs, and complimentary coffee/bottled water. I took off a star because I ended up having to purchase new tires and the decision making process at the stand up counter felt a little rushed.
