We are a family owned company that specializes in selling and servicing powersport equipment. Freedom Powersports began when the long-​term General Manager of Family Powersports Weatherford and Family Powersports of Hurst Discount Outlet, Kevin Lackey, purchased both dealerships in July of 2012. After long consideration Mr. Lackey rebranded the dealerships as Freedom Powersports. Freedom is a word typically listed while describing the emotions felt while riding a motorcycle; but more importantly, freedom is what we as Americans get to enjoy every day, because of the men and women who choose to fight for our country. With strong ties to the military and being passionate patriots, Mr. Lackey and the board members knew the name ‘Freedom Powersports’ would pack a powerful, deep-​seated punch into the powersports industry. It only made sense to make the colors red, white & blue, in honor of our American flag we fly in front of all of our dealerships every day. «Since I started working for Family Powersports 15 years ago, I have been running it liked I owned it. The day to day passion I put into my work was never enough. I always wanted to push a little harder. In 2012 I was at a place in my life where I was blessed enough to fulfill my dream of owning my own dealership…

Are these negative reviews old? The sales and service staff are professional and trustworthy. I purchased one bike from them and am considering purchasing two more. They have a better feel than the Atlanta dealers. I live in midtown but it’s worth the drive to buy south of the city.

No one has reached out and the issues were never solved. I took the bike to a more reputable shop. They have informed me that the «repairs» that freedom did were done wrong and there is still oil leaking from where they supposed fixed.

I found a motorcycle online that I was interested in. After a couple of emails, texts and calls I was offered what I thought was a great deal. I had asked earlier if they could bring it to their location in Canton. He said he could if I put a down payment on it. One I agreed to the deal I told the internet manager I would be there between 5 & 6 to buy the motorcycle. I assumed wrongly that they were going to send the motorcycle to Canton. I get there a little after 6 and the motorcycle wasn’t there. I asked the manager of the location what was going on and he told me he was going to send someone down to pick it up but they got too busy. He said he would send someone down after 8 am to bring it up. They wanted me to leave the cash and check with them and do the paperwork to buy the motorcycle prior to seeing it. I couldn’t bring myself to leave the money, I told them I would try to be there the next day to see the motor cycle and to do the deal. On my way home I received a call from the internet manager and he began telling me that it was my misunderstanding and that if I wanted to do the deal to turn around and do the paperwork. I made a suggestion that he could bring the bike by my work the next day and he seemed to be agreeable to that but after everything I decided not to do the deal and continue looking.
If you decide to deal with Cyclenation and their internet sales manager my suggestion is you keep very good notes and if you can record your conversation so you make sure you understand him completely. If there is any misunderstanding the internet sales manager will let you know it wasn’t his misunderstanding but most certainly yours.
As it sits I am still looking for the right motorcycle and hopefully will find one soon.
