History
Established in 2001.
The O Club, tucked inside the Lions Gate Hotel, is a timeless 60-seat hideaway featuring modern Californian cuisine with regional seasonal influences. As the former Officers Club of McClellan Air Force Base it blends elegance and comfort while keeping the integrity of the historic McClellan style alive. The O Club is regarded as one of the best dining experiences in the North Area of Sacramento.
Meet the Manager
John C.
Manager
Chef John Carrier was born and raised in the Sacramento Valley. He began working in the culinary field the at age of sixteen. Quickly realizing his passion for cuisine, John began devoting all of his time and energy to the study of culinary arts. He was lucky enough to apprentice under one of Sacramento’s most notable chefs, Patrick Mulvaney. With an upbringing in the local area John has the unique ability to build his menus around local and seasonal products. His talent and technical skill has landed him in some of Sacramento’s top fine dining restaurants. John’s philosophy is to source the best seasonal ingredients and let the food speak for itself. He considers himslef lucky to continue to hone his craft at the Lions Gate Hotel.
