The City of McAllen has a fully automated curbside residential collection and offers dumpsters and roll-off containers for commercial collection. As an alternative to driving to the landfill and in efforts to reduce illegal dumping in McAllen, the City has a drop-off site available. This facility is located at 4101 N. Bentsen Rd. Households: Each residential customer receives two automated containers, one black, for garbage and one blue, for commingled recyclables.
