History

Established in 1991.

In 1991 our current President and CEO, Robert Galindo started «Amigo Sales» a second-​hand jewelry and merchandise store. Five months later, Robert was granted his first pawnshop license and Amigo Pawn & Jewelry was born.

Like any new startup business there were struggles and hardships. Robert recalls the first year, «We operated on a shoe string budget… Talk about a juggling act… sometimes I wouldn’t even pay myself– just had money to loan out and to pay the employees.» Despite the hard times, business flourished, and by 1993 they were opening their second location.

Amigo Pawn & Jewelry celebrated the opening of its 11^th store in December of 2013 and is grateful for 23 years in the Pawn Business.
